I am playing Wakfu because I read about it on massively. It's very surprising, as I never liked anime, 2.5d cartoony graphics, or turn based games, but so far I'm having a blast.

Not to mention I dismiss any MMO thyat has point & click to move... however, I am finding Wakfu thoroughly refreshing and lovely to play.

@zgomot

Now you got me interested. Was looking for a good turn-based game while waiting for HoMM6.

Prompted me to try Fallen Earth after winning a copy. Other than that the only real thing to sway my opinion are the F2P conversions by Turbine. Man those guys are awsome =p

Massively has done the trick on this one lol. I have tried a TON of games since I found Massively. And yes, currently play Fallen Earth. I watched a live stream of it with Shawn and that was all she wrote. He can be very convincing! And his write ups of games like his Journey in WURM online are the ones that hook you!

Well, I'm like the Op. I too tried Fallen Earth after reading quite a bit about it here. I enjoyed it up until recently when the game just seemed to loose its luster after being level maxed for a bit. (and the grind from 40 to 50 was way to repetitive for me.)
I think I'm going to give Rifts a try. I've read some really good and balanced articles here.

I have tried both WURM online and PoTBS due to Massively. It helps that these are both free to play/try. I really like both for comepletely different reasons. I have never been so scared in a game as when a spider was chasing me at night while walking through a forest in WURM. I was a 2 hour old player, and in WURM, that basically means I die by fighting anyhting. PoTBS has been a blast so far, so still in that one all the time.

@DeadDreamer same here, tired it, saw the appeal, just didn't appeal to me. I kinda wish it did because it looks like a really well made game, it just doesn't have what I find fun in it.

I'm looking forward to ArcheAge and will likely give it a shot thanks to Massively.

@DeadDreamer
It both made me try EVE, and later in the trial period ditch the game altogether (after I saw a few cases of how not even high sec is safe from PvP).
Not that it's a bad game. It's just not the game for me, mostly due to the way players can lose big time when they are killed. Apart from the chance of losing ship, and perhaps even skill points, due to a mishap, I loved the game.

I've actually tried EvE 4 times, all due to massively. Really wanted to like the game, but couldn't.

Also tried Wurm, WoT, DDO, Aika, Allods, LotRO, APB, Rift, Earthrise and probably some other games thanks to massively. The blog has introduced me to a good amount of the MMOs I've played.

I remember that Massively got me to try WURM online, didn't stick with it though.

Alas, none of the games I tried through Massively propaganda managed to stick...

Anarchy Online

Spiral Knights (end of beta thanks to a Massively key and a couple of weeks after it went live; might go back some day since I have a better computer now)

Wakfu (Massively beta key, found it not to my tastes)

Free Realms (had a 3-month subscription and even bought 1000 SC since it was half price at the time, but by the end of that time I was already sick of it - it's a lot shallower a game than reviews make it seem)

Star Wars Galaxies (which might have stuck - I was planning on buying and subscribing at the end of April, but...)

Was also going to try Maple Story, Vindictus, and LotRO, but their use of Pando Media Booster means no way.

Yes, you made a post in 2008 mentioning a fan-made video for Vanguard. It was so impressive it made me try out the game.

I think it was this post:
http://massively.joystiq.com/2008/06/16/fan-made-vanguard-trailer-has-community-talking-excitedly/

The video seems to be missing in that post today, but I believe this is the one:

Yep, got into Wurm Online after seeing Beau, Shawn, & others talk about it so much. Awesome game.

Also tried EVE Online this week as well. It's a great game and CCP has done something very cool with it, but it's not really my cup o' tea. Spaceships leave me feeling a bit "meh".

Earthrise. Got me interested in seeing what it was about and trying out the beta. Unfortunately, that didn't turn out that well.

You make a lot of games visible so of course you have. But that was kind of by proxy mostly. And none of it stuck for long.
