And also there were 52 billion keyboard clicks registered as well, which means.......nothing.

So far all we know about Issue 21 is there will be a new zone added to the game.

Actually, they just admitted the other day that there'll probably be an issue 20.5 long before 21, with at least one more incarnate trial (end-game raid).

One thing that has continued to fascinate me, ever since they added the side-switching "morality" system, is watching heroes learn the fundamental way in which City of Heroes is different from every other MMO on the market: no, really, you DON'T need a tanker and a healer on your team. Villains did just fine without either for years. And after a year of side-switching, I'm now finally seeing hero team organizers admit that yeah, any group of 8 people who know their roles can probably do anything in the game. It's nice. I know some people who "want to feel needed" but what's more fun, to me, is that no two teams play the same, which makes for nice added variety.

I'm an enthusiastic fan of the Weekly Strike Targets, because they reversed the incentives on task forces, in a good way. Before, the incentive was to find the one and only one task force that gave the maximum reward for the minimum time and only run it, and run it over and over again, forever, without let up. Since the WSTs were added, it's now actually easy to find teams to run content that was being ignored; again, thank Prime for additional variety.

Which isn't so great if you happen to BE a healer or tank since they tend to solo worse than the hybrid red side ATs. That's supposed to be a trade off for them being better at teaming, but that becomes unfair when you don't really need to be better at teaming and the teams know this.

I see more Corruptors running around now than Defenders and more Brutes than Tankers. When given the choice between being more self sufficient and better soloing or helping the team a little more and having it not really matter, guess what people pick. There's not much motivation in that climate to roll a Stone Tanker or Empathy Defender.

I love the WST myself. It's great to find teams for the TFs and SFs that normally get little player attention.

I'll be kinda a jerk here, but I think it's slightly dishonest to say that i19 was so bad for the health of the game, when it is i20, which you gush on, that is making people the most unhappy with its "World of Warcraft's often-tedious Raidapalooza"-like Trials. Heck, I've seen more love for the WST and its promoting of the different TF/SF (this week is Moonfire for pity's sake!) over the standard ITF/LGTF/Khan TF that you see all the time.

Also Leagues cause Lag, it's been proven, Patched, then Un-Patched when the patch caused even more Lag. So Leagues kinda stink.

42 million characters!

That's almost.... 4X the number of supposed "real" WoW players....virtually speaking vs. real world, of course!

;P

@JFink: Remember, despite long months of closed hidden beta on the League system and the trials that use it, dropping something into the live system and having those '42 million characters' dropped into it, is bound to shake the frame of the ship to pieces.

Things WILL get better. They might get worse first, but they WILL get better. This sort of system can't be properly beta tested (other than getting the non-load based defects out of it) as it's the full load it needs to properly work the bugs out of it.

How often was Hami raids, warship raids, rikiti invasions and zombie invasions the source of crashes, graphics lag, server lag, etc? And that's improved leaps, bounds and superspeeds since they were introduced in the way-back-when...
