You can split hairs but in the end, MUO isn't what the market is looking for. I still stand by the fact that it isn't anything new or innovative, it's repackaging MUA for a larger crowd. And yes, Super Mario Bros isn't an RPG but this is Marvel we're talking about here. It's had at least a couple of iterations of pen and paper role playing and that is the kind of game we are looking for, not some paper doll game where you take your Hulk doll and go and play nice with the Dr. Doom doll.

I had high hopes but now it's questionable whether or not this game will make any dent in the MMO world. I just don't see the success of such a formula making MUO relevant, it will just be seen as a Marvel Cash Cow for funding movie production costs.

But again, there is a hopeful Mavelite inside me that is hoping against hope that this is going to be much better in execution than it seems like in theory right now.
