I'm a walking contradiction when it comes to game design. I want an 'endless' feel to my character progression, BUT I don't like the grind.

I like the feeling of being able to create my own character and progress it however I choose like you can in sandbox style mmos, BUT I also like the story progressions and trinity style groups of theme-park mmos.

Eve does a good job of making the game endless, I have played on 1 toon for 3 years and I am not nearly close to completing all the skills in the game. But the reputation grind does get old.

I guess I am doomed to constantly bounce from game to game.

@Bramen You are in good company lol. I float from game to game too because of the same reasons.

Current lineup is STO, WOW, Fallen Earth. Played EVE for around 2 years, just got burned out living in a wormhole.

@Bramen

what rep grind? i assume you're talking about faction/NPC corp standings, and why would you grind that? surely empire R&D is not your main profession, is it?

but funny enough, mmo bouncer here aswell. EVE, DDO, black prophecy - it's days are numbered tho, replaced by perpetuum after the expansion. and still waiting for WAR to go f2p.
