It might be a case of in-house talent poaching or just a good opportunity for all parties involved, but BioWare has hired Jeff Hickman away from Mythic to be Star Wars: The Old Republic's new Executive Producer of Live Services.
The hire was announced at the recent BioWare's Fan Site Summit, according to Ask a Jedi. Hickman was previously the Studio Executive Producer for all of Mythic's MMOs. He'll step into the role left open by Gordon Walton, who left BioWare earlier this year.
With both BioWare and Mythic under the same parent company -- Electronic Arts -- it stands to reason that the two studios have a strong network and relationships that could lead to such transfers of personnel. We'll look forward to seeing what Jeff Hickman will bring to TOR as it progresses toward launch!

Let's consider the possibility that, if Bioware is willing to bring him in and EA seems willing to keep him around, then whatever horrible things people think he's responsible for might not actually be his fault/responsibility. :p

Does Bioware WANT to fail with SW:TOR ?!
No matter if the rumors are true, no matter if people over inflated his fault in what happened at Mythic... its a FACT that he was Executive Producer for Warhammer (started in 2005, so v close to when the work started at the game), a game which is by far the biggest failing big budget MMO in recent history.

@Ehra
Mythic was Mark's company, so ofc he was in charge so to speak of every game they made. Even if he was pretty close to the community, I doubt his job let him stay close to the dev team on a daily basis. Something that was pretty much in Hickman's job description. So its really hard to say he wasnt reponsible for the game's failure.
And if you count in the "leaks" about the way he was promoted, the way he handled internal affairs and so on, it's atleast a weird hire by Bioware.
Only thing that makes it less weird is the fact that Hickman, prior to jumping to the top of the food chain at Mythic, was in charge of Community Support. If "Live Services" is about support and stuff, it might explain this... although there's still the matter of his (in)competence.
If he's indeed in charge of Support, atleast we know he wont get to touch the game in any way. :D
