Only SOE would thank you for your patience, by offering to sell its players Station Cash at a discount.

@CCon99 Yeh, seems very hollow following the second biggest data breeches ever. I bet the Sony execs are sitting there saying to themselves "thank god it's not TJX again", sorry Sony, but it is.

The gesture shouldn't be just to Free Realms and DCUO customers, ALL PS3 owners have had personal data stolen. Not just the ones you milk every month.

CCon, we finally agree on something!! I knew it was possible. Still surprising though. I've missed you on all the STO posts lately. I thought we had a good Point - Counter Point thing going. lol

To the actual topic, over time I have come to expect SOE to muck up almost anything it touches. This is no exception.

I would like to hear something like this:

To thank players for their patience, we will pick up Vanguard: Saga Of Heroes once again and make it free to play! We will instantly make a big team of game developers to work with the game, so they can continue the process of Vanguard! Details for the F2P model and dates, will be available soon on the individual game websites and forums.

They could also thank us by fixing their games...Station Cash does me no good. Every time I play one of their games, I think "Why can't I make Superman again?" That was all I wanted...

Station cash? That's for EQ2 etc which is worth nothing anyways as they regularly ave double cash events where you get twice the amount of cash you paid for.

How about a REAL method of compensation for PS3 users eh?

So basically they're helping out the PC playing crowd first, when it was the PSN that was affected?

Does not compute.

"We apologize for ANY inconvenience players MAY have experienced.."
Drives me mental when I see that wording in an apology.

SOE is not synonymous with Sony/PSN. SOE's customer base is a tiny, irrelevant fraction of PSN customers.

Guilt by association.

Since FreeRealms and DCUniverse are both handled through PSN, SOE and Sony are the same thing now.

They aren't the same thing. SOE and PSN are seperate under SCE. SOE is the MMO wing, PSN is the Playstation wing. They have overlap in two games, but they are not tyhe same thing.

When you think Sony can't get any lower, they go around and try to sell you Station Cash at a discounted price. Is anyone seriously going to trust buying anything through Sony?

For all we know, whatever exploits were used here could be applied to Sony Style and the MMO division as well. While I'm sure Sony has their "experts" on the job, I don't have much faith in said company.

In case you missed it , it HAS closed down the MMO/PC users too. I dont even own a ps3 and I got the 'your info was probably compromised' email and all the MMOs have been shut off as well.
