Cool video. Certainly caught my attention. Guess I will be visiting the site now.

@(Unverified) Sept-November is the best guess. Gamestop has a tentative date and I am sure it will be close to that. As for the video I hate the word vision trailer as it was the same junk Aion used and they haven't or didn't add any of the stuff for like 2yrs. I do love the AI how it looks like the monsters are actually wanting to hurt you.

@Alex Oglitchkin If En Masse/Atari were smart, they would avoid a November release date like the plague. Nearly every single big title of the year is coming out that month. I'm excited for Tera too, but this game would get very little to no coverage (as well as sales I would imagine) that month unless it turns out to be the best thing ever. Of course we have Massively, GBTV, the MMO Report, and places like that that will probably cover it, but this would probably get buried everywhere else.

Like I said, I'm excited for this game. But let's be realistic, if this game wants to draw in a huge crowd of people, I'd suggest trying to do that when that crowd of people aren't already occupied. I say it should come out before or after November. 'Smaller' games need to stay as far away from that window as possible.

@PrimeSynergy It's probably still better than waiting for SWTOR or GW2 to come around the bend. Ahh yes the listing they have at Gamestop is on their site now. it says Release Date 9/6/2011

Have to say, they were not very convincing in the video there. While I think the game will probably be a lot of fun, their choice or phrasing was a little off for most of it. Most of the features they were treading on (auto attack only combat and small worlds) have not really been in any MMO's for awhile. In fact, I am hard pressed to think of an MMO that simply uses auto attack like they suggest...just saying.

Either way, should be a nice breath of fresh air when it does come out.

The first major patch is being slated soon for the Korean version. I have given up waiting on this one. It is doing the same thing that they did with Aion, treating any market other than their home market as second class citizens. I gave up caring because it is obvious BHS doesn't care about the rest of the world.

@(Unverified) When Aion launched we were up to date with the korean version. A korean game that doesn't give patches out worldwide. *gasp* This happens in every single foreign MMO I have played. If this was made by Blizzard who has tons of cash then the US/EU would be taken care of first while the rest would wait....you should just hope that their customer service with En Masse is better than that service they had for Aion.

Does this game have anything that doesn't include combat worth talking about? And it's a serieus question cus so far I haven't heard anything about it except for it's combat system.

@Laguna Their combat is the bread and butter of the game because it's not that common of a combat system. They game has amazing graphics with some nice CGI parts. The endgame dungeons are a challenge apparently. There are battlegrounds, world pvp (kinda in a way). There is a politcal system in the game, crafting, and tons of world bosses.

@Alex Oglitchkin

Well to be honest I expect alot more out of a mmo then combat really(It's a virtual world afther all). The review I read about tera said that crafting was not worth the time since it was easy and the gear you could craft was pretty bad(have no idea if this is really the case tho). Also could you elaborate on the political system because I have no idea how it works in TERA.

@Laguna Crafting is getting tinkered with still and same with political system, but it's a voting system where taxes and stuff. Go check out the fansite TERAfans for info on the game.

I have the same concern too,I've heard anything but combat during these last 2 years and some bribes about crafting and the political system.

They really do have the most unique enemy NPC's I've seen in an MMO. It feels a bit off-putting to see some of the designs, particularly the ones that are very large in comparison to the players.

I can't say I liked much of the commentary in the video, seemed mostly like PR crud and trying too hard at that.

About the same here. I have not been very impressed with EME and how they are handling Tera so far. I'm pretty hopeful for the game but with the way they are handling the "Westernization" aka" removing content deemed too much for the NA gamer to handle..." and lackluster promotional videos such as this, I am a little troubled. So for me Tera looks to be potentially awesome, EME's handling of Tera....not so much....at least not yet.

There was a time when I was psyched for TERA but as time goes by I lost interest in the game due to their emphasis on combat.I know there's the political system or crafting but they are like 5% of the news.

May be Massively can ask EME if the game has anything worthy beside combat.

I may never understand the massively oversized weapons. I understand certain arguments to be made for a certain degree of oversizing, from simple visibility to artistic stylization, but this seems to not only go over the top, but also bomb the top from orbit. I think it actually lessens their visual impact because it destroys the illusion of weight....

I've always felt the same way, also the mobs in this game are so over-the-top, and last but not least the hooker-chic "style".

@Saker Whats wrong with overthetop? The mobs look great. The fact that they are different from your same ol' orc/bear/troll/boar RIFTfest that MMOs are plagued by is a good thing.

The only thing I can think of when developers start bragging about HUGE OPEN WORLDS THE SIZE OF THREE CONTINENTS, is that, it's almost all going to be empty. Players go where the players are. Unless it's a server cluster like Eve and the land is ownable/capturable, most area's are gonna be empty all the time.
