Hear me, Ascended! The fires of Telara call to you, for in the great depths of the volcano, the last remnant of the Sorcerer Kings' experiments still survives. The laboratory that was forged in secret was consumed by a great eruption prior to the fall of the Eth Empire. Although most of the devices were destroyed under the molten rock, the Charmer's Coil still remains after all these eons. Now, Crucia, the enslaver of the will, seeks to add this powerful relic to her collection. Ascended, will you be able to obtain the artifact before the enslaver?
As a part of the expedition, you will face the brainwashed slaves of Crucia as she races to obtain the Coil. The Fire-spawn also call the Charmer's Caldera home. These minions were originally bred to defend the laboratory, but they have found the active volcano a comfortable place to live. Smouldaron will not put up with this encroachment of his land. You will fight past chieftain and his Fire-spawn before facing the other more dangerous evils inside the heart of the volcano.

Is this something new being added? Not sure from this post. Sounds cool but I haven't heard anything else about another content patch. "Here" should also be "hear" in the first sentence. Clarification on this and color me interested :-)

@gamebynight I'm docking you 50dkp for that statement. =p
Charmer's Caldera, or CC , is a level 48-50 dungeon in Shimmersand. It is also one of the hardest Tier 2 dungeons on expert. And I second "Unverified's" comment when I say that they need to fix the last boss. He has a frontal AoE that can pretty much one or two shot anyone in the group. The problem is, it's random which direction he casts it when it first goes off. It's a cool part of his strategy, but if he decides to face your group when he first casts it, it's a wipe with a fairly long run back if a rezzer doesn't have soul walk up.
Other than that, the dungeon and the lore is spot on, as is the rest of the game's lore. Nice write-up Larry!

@Jeremy G That's not what he's referring to when he says fix it.
The random direction with the first blast isn't a problem, that's by design. the problem is after that first blast, the lightning animation goes in one direction, while the AoE cone damage goes another. you can stand in the lightning and take no damage, but be standing in another random spot and be zapped. or not. the visual tell on where you are or are not supposed to be makes the boss retardedly broken.
But then, that's just another bug in the long list of bugged and broken stuff in rifts endgame.

@meanieme A constant 4000 people logged on per shard at almost all times? How is that "no one plays this game"? There's always people on at all times of the day. My schedule is very sporatic and I never have a hard time finding someone to play with. Try trolling somewhere else.

@meanieme Mmm,, that link says saturday nothing was "close" to being full. wile more then half the US servers had 2+ hour long queue.
Bad chart is bad. in fact, just checking my laucher, it is 9 AM on a European workday, and my server (one of the lower populated ones) has medium already.

@Temko I am always bumping into people as well and check shard status constantly (on EU), where only 3 shards are low pop in peak times. But any way, I don't know how correctly this is represented of course. I can only say, on my server, in my experience, I constantly bump into people while questing. Sometimes to the point where I think 'damn it I want alone time!'.
BUT GUYS GUYS! We are getting appearance tabs? How cool is that! Yes, I know it's completely offtopic but I'm genuinely super excited about this :) Blablabla instance, cool BUT OMG APPEARANCE TABS :D

The chart doesn't show number of people on the server. It only shows low/medium/high/full and the number of people in the queue if the server is full.
That site is basically useless information since we don't know how many people are constitute low, medium, high or full.
People using that site as a basis for any argument either pro or anti rift automatically lose.
