I think the Facebook label is not fully appropriate like you said. I have been messing around with it on breaks throughout my day and find it to be no where near as annoying as any of Zynga's titles. FB requests really only appeared when I got a near skill or leveled, otherwise pretty much a non issue.

The speed of the game is sooooo annoying. For a title that is suppose to appeal to casual play the decision to make things move so slow is interesting. Perhaps more of a diable speed would have been wiser. If I only have 20 minutes to waste I do not want to spend 5 of them just waiting to cross a room.

For a casual title to mess with at work on down time it is so far looking like a better option than some other titles I have played with.

The only reason that developers use flash for web-based games is the fact that the other viable options require a plugin of some kind.

HTML 5 is catching up and in a few generations of browsers the compatibility and performance might be to the level where it makes business sense to go that route, but in today's market, flash is the (unfortunately for developers) primary platform for these kinds of games.
