I'm in!
That was a long beta, really enjoyable. And this beta saw lots of game improvements.
We, players, would like more ... sure Wargaming wasnt pushing the patches each week. The release is here - without clan wars, without reworked camo/detection system, without market.
But, i do hope this will come fast, now WG will gain money from us Euro and US players.

Only real grief i do: WG.N could have been more agressive in their financial offers ...
WoT is finally a REALLY expensive game for what it has to offer.
I would have hoped they follow Avatar Creations (Perpetuum) strategy - one year perpetuum suscribing costs *only* 65€
One year wot premium will cost 100€
20-30% cheaper gold would have been really better :/

no thanks...paying in order to group to play with friends ruined it for me.

@(Unverified) No you have to pay to group play, the pre order package is bloody expensive, and the The cost per Tank is just silly...so Hardly free and I stand by my statement.

Though I do wish they had some smaller pre-order packages available, cost-wise it is still a steal compared to other MMO's and/or single player games. The collectors edition for most games will be like $10 or so bucks over the regular $49/$59 box price, plus in the case of mmo's you have to pay another $12-$15 a month just to play. For the amount of fun to be had in WoT, and the flexibility to choose when to use your gold for premium time or not the packages are a pretty good deal imo. I got the medium package (60-something $) and that much gold will probably last me close to a year if used right.

@(Unverified) Calling it a steal is misleading because of one very important thing you're leaving out. Compared to traditional P2P MMOs you are also GETTING much more than WoT can offer. Let's face it, WoT is nothing more than a glorified tank "fps" where there is hardly more persistence than any other match based fps.

So, while you're right in saying that it is cheaper when considering box costs of games, and standard $15/mo. sub costs, you're not considering the fact that you're simply getting much less from the game as a whole. A match based tank fps (or third person shooter if you want to mince words).

If you're having a blast playing the game, that's great, more power to you. But to herald this game's value over other games should be kept in the subjective realm, as I've just demonstrated that objectively, calling it any sort of bargain is misleading at best. The adage "you get what you pay for" comes to mind.

There is more play value in this free-to-play title than most.

Granted, actual game features are left out of the free version but if you ignore those features entirely there is still an amazing game left over.

I like this pay model.

"That's right, release day for Wargaming.net's action/strategy MMO is finally here..."

Not quite. The servers were taken down at midnight on "release day" for "release day maintenance" (!) that may last up to 18 hours. As of this writing (1300 hrs, EDT) the servers are still down.

Some good news though: in an interview, Wargaming seems to be reconsidering their misguided decision to require a Premium account to play with your friends in a platoon: this feature may go F2P.
