@socialenemy2007
Far as I'm aware of, nope. The US group handling Mythos hasn't even opened up Closed Beta far as I'm aware of.

Not missing too much though I think. The game is alright, but in a kind of "generic clone" way to me. Skill trees and how they are handled annoy me, the "tech support" on the forums seem almost non-existent, and I can't say anything about the crafting, namely because unless you pay absurd prices for 1 recipe, or get lucky and have a recipe drop for you, its non-existent as well.

@socialenemy2007 You can play in the european open beta, but the game so far imo is meh. Very dated graphics, and the text has been very poorly translated, into engrish.

I suppose I'm still going to have to wait for Diablo 3 for a good action rpg to play.

Played this over the weekend - and the state it is in - it is not ready for open beta. The biggest problem they have which totally baffles me is - they have no bug reporting system set up at all. So I found errors I would have gladly reported, but there is no in game reporting, there is no section in the forums for it...

Translations into English errors are all over. Auction house is bugged. You see foreign text now and then. Skill trees need balancing so people arent all picking the same thing. I wrote up a quick review yesterday here - www.azztech.net/blog

@Azzura Agreed, there are translation errors everywhere and many bugs, however they said on the open beta announcement that it's the same build as CB (since there was no downtime anyway) and all of the errors will be fixed when the game releases.

@Azzura That's so weird. I was one of the original Mythos Beta Testers back when it was a Closed Beta under Flagship Studios. Fun Fact: Mythos was originally developed to troubleshoot and test the proprietary network tech that Flag Ship had produced. But the Devs enjoyed it so much they decided to turn it into an official IP.

When it was in Closed Beta, some things, like the graphics, wouldn't work properly unless you turned supersampling on using the manual toggle in your GPU config... but actually the rest of the game was really smooth. I wonder what happened between then and now to make it so messy? Well, other then English - to - Korean - to - English, I should say.

To give you an idea of what type of game it is - think if Hellgate London and Torchlight had a baby....

@Azzura ...in that case I'm going to have to try it, buggy or not.

Also, can anyone else verify that there are no plans for a North American release at this time?

@Slayblaze if you go to the US Mythos site - the last news on their US forums was in January - explaining some troubles they were having.

Now that I was searching for that I see why it looks and feels the way it does - Flagship made Hellgate and their people went on to make Torchlight :)

"Originally developed by Flagship Studios, the game shut down along with Flagship back in 2008 while it was still in beta (most of the creators of the original Mythos went on to form Runic Games where they made the terrific action-RPG Torchlight)." (from Big Download)

Torchlight II will be out in July probably

I know they have time to fix them - I just feel they would be fixed by now if people had a way to report bugs and errors that was simple. We are already playing the game for them to test it out but they provide no way to tell them what is wrong. They don't even give you an email address for feedback.

AND OMG - I just went to their forums and they added a bug reporting section TODAY. Better late than never.

After coming from the Rift beta - I'm spoiled

@Azzura Just today? Sheesh! Is there an in-game bug report tool, or is that pretty much it?
