You guys could have asked something about their plans for world PvP.

It's not really important but... why not the traditional interview style article?
You know, where we see the question asked and the answer given?

I understand that the interview may have occurred in a less than optimal setting (which might render a transcript hard or impossible to maintain), but I like to see the questions asked and the way they are answered. I feel seeing the full response gives you a better idea of the type of person that's being interviewed.

Still, I hope this doesn't sound bitchy.
I still very much enjoyed the information. Thanks Massively!

@Tephlon

It also gives people a chance to evaluate the answers for themselves, rather than relying on someone else's interpretation of what was said. I'm with you. I generally prefer to read the actual interview as well. That's not a complaint, though. Just stating my general preference. =)

I'm looking forward to the event and will enjoy seeing how it plays out.
The nerf bat isn't a concern for me. But it's good to see that they are going to offer some explanation to those caught up in the debate.

I've been enjoying my time in RIft and find the care and attention that they put into the game to be fun. I am abit of an in game explorer and just the other day found all kinds of rewards/goodness deep in the dark vastness of the ocean while virtually swimming off the map. That kind of attention to detail is just plain fun.

I think the best feature of this update is the 'outing' of the MMO drifters who rage quit whenever something doesn't go their way. Amazing improvement in RIFT so far!

I'm really conflicted about RIFT after hitting a major lull as in having to fight to want to play I am now enjoying the hell out of the game yet everyone I know has quit and my server is looking more and more empty by the day...is this proof that no matter how good a MMO is it will still ultimately fail?

I enjoyed the first 35 lvls or so - then it became very obvious that the game was not that polished and was lacking in every department. Very few ppl playing on my server and totally dead in 40-48 areas.

Its another WAR in my opinion. Not good enough for sub or the time after 35...

@Deadalon maybe you are in the wrong shards or wrong timezone of people playing. go to the crowded shards then.. right now btw, most people are lvl 50s. just enjoy questing and get to 50 enjoy the lore. if you don't like it just quit. i'm no fantards because i'm a wow raider, subbed to lotro, dcuo, co. played warhammer, aion, eve, sto, runes of magic allods. lol! if i don't enjoy playing this game anymore, i'll just move to another new game like starwars old repub then wait for another good one to come up like blizz Titan. repeat and rinse.

Your comment could not be further from the truth (Sorry but when i read this i really had to post) it is a very well known fact that in rift as you level the game gets better i did experience this myself and I have seen you making any sort of wild accusation since rift launched ,some of them were so absurds and all over the place that I am now starting to belive you must have some kind of slanderous agenda, bottom line is when rift is concerned I think you have no credibility!

@Deadalon

Things must vary wildly from shard to shard. I happen to play on 2 shards and the 42-50 lvl range is filled on both of them. The same is true when I play my lower level alts. There are plenty of people to group with. Your mileage may vary but I find that as it increases in level the zones are more interesting and more attractive to play through.

For now the event lies in closing low level rifts for some crystals, with an NPC-shop containing the incredible amount of.. 3 items :D. The next phase says 9 april. Thats not a week me thinks.. So nothing worth mentioning or passing for content actually added yet. I think they made dungeons harder, only tried FC tho, but damage from bosses seems 2x.

@BGExorcist There's a patch coming this weekend to spice up things a bit. Namely implementing more rewards (I agree that there were very little), and making sure the death rifts spawn more frequently (I had a hard time finding any the first days). Also making it so that only rifts appropriate to your level grant you rewards, to prevent all the lvl50's from closing death rifts in starting area. So basically, all the remarks I had the past two days, are already getting fixed this weekend! That is why I love Trion.

I actually quite liked the contribution ranking thing for rifts. It helped guide me to figure out what to do and how to make the most. Oh well.
