@Beau Hindman
Doesn't it look so great?
Think it's going to be open world or more instance based like Vindictus?

@Kaemin It's not open-world. Dragon Nest is largely instance based

As silly as this game seems on the surface, it had some really revolutionary aspects. Finally seeing twitch action combat coming to an MMO is a dream come true. The feel of movement looks like a lot of fun too. It should be fun just to run and jump in a game, and too many MMOs seem to not keep that in mind.

I also really like the blur effect with objects coming close to the screen going out of focus. As an artist myself, it's a great effect for making things seem like they have depth. I hope that effect is picked up on in all the new MMOs to come, it's really one of those things that make me think "Why did I never think of that?"

It would look great in a game like WoW.

Hmmm, probably something in between. I chatted with Min Kim at GDC last about the lack of open world in Vindictus, he knew all about the concerns. I think it might be easier to get into groups and to move forward than Vin.

Hmmmm, now you got me watching the trailer trying to figure it out. lol

I played the CN version with ENg patch so I can say few thing about it.
First thing first combat is even better that what you can see in this trailer, it looks to me like a noob was playing, you can chain combos like say in SF and have big groups of mobs stun locked if done right even some boos mobs(some) the fighting is really fun and addictive .
Game is heavily instanced in that every town every dungeon is a instance but its not as bad as Vindictus where you have only ONE town and dungeons and that's it, think AOC but smaller scale so two beginner towns(depending witch class you take) a mid town and so on.
you can run missions with no healer if you play good and healer(templar) is a fun class (no stand and heal)
After finishing a dungeon you will be scored depending what difficulty you chose and how good you done with a ran from C to SS and chose from I think 5or4 random rewards chests, type of chest depend on your score to.

@Doomtrain24 Oh yeah pvp is done in arena type place where you can chose 1v1 3v3 and so on depending on if you lose or not you will get rewarded with arena coins with you can spend on... that I really don't remember so much, because I didn't play much pvp, you have to have good ping there and and mine was lacking

Yeah, I'm playing the Chinese version as well, and it's a lot of fun. It's not my ideal MMO, where this type of combat would exist in a truly open world, but it's one step closer. They handled the instancing really well, a lot better than Vindictus, which until the recent patch felt pretty much like a lobby game.

Oh, and please let the future scout in Vindictus play like the one in Dragon Nest, 'cause she's totally awesome.
