Nice to see the proceeds are 100%. Good for gPotato.

These donations are given in the company's name and are a tax write off for them. When they give 100% proceeds they are donating their design work and processing fees. When they only give a percentage of the proceeds they are getting the credit for the donation of their users money but collecting for their time, essentially getting the tax credit on the users dime.

Sorry to clutter up their topic with a rant.

seriously though it is very good they do this, but it heard Japan didnt ask for financial aid

I think most of the gaming companies that are doing this donating to third party relief funds. Things like Red Cross Red Shield and what not.

@zorovriend The money is still going to secular charities, the wording is unfortunate, but their heart is in the right place.

Somebody doesn't have to ask for help for it to be the right thing to do.
