When I first saw the headline... I thought it said Beer Shaman...

@Enaris

That's not a bad idea, especially when I get around to PvPing.

I still think you should have rolled in Tryanny.

It is a great place if you like long streaks of time alone.

@thedoommarine

Lol, no thanks. My launch-day character was on Tyranny. I played for several months there before transferring at the first available opportunity.

I'll do the PvP server thing again when Blood & Glory launches.

@Jef Reahard

I wish I could transfer out. But when BnG comes out Tryanny will probably be shut down after some huge, no respawn, last man standing PvP fight that the GMs set up.

I think they are going to merge Tyranny into Cimmeria once B&G launches.

Will Look for you in game Jef, re-rolled a ToS and a DT for this little adventure, should help doing the dungeons between 1-80.

Hope a few more people jump in too :)

Even though I was someone advocating the HoX choice, next poll I wouldn't vote HoX. I'm not mean enough to try to make you play a HoX on the Blood and Glory server, hah.

Bear Shaman is a fun class too, hope you enjoy it.

I find myself intrigued by this game. My problem is having a satellite connection so I'm not sure how much I would have to download in updates once I installed from the disc and how well a connection would handle the gameplay (in WoW, I have about 1700 latency).

Any thoughts on whether I should bother?

@Amaxe

You'll have a substantial update even if you have the most recent disc (from the Godslayer expansion).

As for the latency, I'm not sure. I'd recommend checking out the trial in any case. It won't cost you anything and you could leave the patch/download running overnight or whatever.

The reason I was asking is because Satellite has a monthly bandwidth cap. Otherwise, I'd probably just try to download the whole game straight.

Thanks for the reply though.

Oh ok, didn't realize that.

The Dreamworld patch alone was 3 or 4 gigs if I'm remembering correctly, and there have been, I think, 14 other patches since the expansion last May.

Hmm.... Bear shaman won the poll, huh? I'll have to roll something from scratch so I can jump in and play with you all occasionally. :) I just don't know what yet. The only two classes I've never started are bear shaman and PoM. I thought maybe I'd use my insta-50 for a BS, but I was never sure enough to go ahead and create it. I'm looking forward to reading about your leveling experiences, Jef!
