How could you forget:

http://www.avalloc.net/

I believe he's running and his website is very thorough about his campaign.

@(Unverified) Unfortunately, he has withdrawn from the election for personal reasons. The list we've compiled is a complete list of all those still in the running.

@Brendan Drain

Correct, Avalloc unfortunately had to withdraw from the election, for personal reasons.

Kalrand requested to have his candidacy withdrawn after the election started and thus CCP removed him from the candidacy list.

haha really got a kick out of the suddenly ninjas guy...EVE/CCP is so carebear friendly that i'll definately vote for the guy in the corp that ninja salvages mission runners in high sec...real pro pvpers, that's for sure

anyway great post, the work of presenting the candidates is appreciated. but a shorter list of the candidates who actually had an idea or three would have been great too.

And FYI the voting ends Tuesday night, just so everyone interested knows

Windypops is far from an "unknown character" and he's pretty active in the community. Anyone who has browsed the COAD forum or EVE News 24 will know of him. It makes me doubt that much research or effort were put into the summaries.

@Robot Monster Research was primarily conducted through the campaign messages candidates supplied, the campaign website link they supplied, the Lost in EVE debates and the CSM forum. For some players, there was not enough information in these places to justify taking them out of the list of relatively unknown characters who did not put much effort into their campaigns.

General Windypops was not entirely one of those people, he has a campaign website and thread and he's actively involved in discussion. He was included here mainly because he isn't a serious candidate looking for election. He has stated that he doesn't care whether people vote for him or not, and wishes only to warn people against voting for what he sees as a political powerbloc of Goonswarm and Northern Coalition.

I wasn't aware of his work at EVE News 24, thanks for the update. I have updated his information accordingly.

@Brendan Drain

I hate to be picky here, but I must say this is rather inaccurate, and I'm certainly amused to be in the 'relative unknowns' category. The suggestion that I 'don't care if I'm elected' I must correct however. I have campaigned very actively throughout the elections, and I'm surprised that the author has chosen to ignore this.

I HAVE said that I think it's more important that people vote for ANY candidate that stands against the NC / Goons block vote than for me specifically. Perhaps where the misunderstanding comes from.

For clarity my platform is 1) A powerful, well known voice to challenge the block vote dominance. 2) Empire warfare revisited - I'm working on a consulted paper with many of Eve's most well known empire warfare specialists 3) a massive refocus on community dialogue, communication, live events and tools and 4) bringing back the 'warp drive active' VO, with guest voice slots.

Happy voting. If Massively wish to research my views more thoroughly then they are welcome to contact me.

I am Sir HappyPants. Closest thing I have to a webpage at the moment would be my twitter: @thisurlnotfound (Proud member of Eve Online's #TweetFleet!)

Feel free to ask me questions there or here. I will check in a few times today.

Otherwise, vote informed. Do not be a sheep and vote for who your alliance leaders tell you to.

I should respond to my entry here.
Did the author talk to me to find out my campaign platform? I know many people in game have talked to me and know my stance on many issues. They contacted me in game because that's what I asked for in my campaign statement. If I tried to describe solutions to complex problems I would have to resort to an unreadable wall of text. And honestly, that's not something anyone would read anyway.
Sorry that I seem vague. I assure you, my stances are not. Check out the candidate match system to see quite a few of my stances.

Eh, problem is that you're going to see this CSM dominated by 0.0ers who have virtually no reason to change the status quo and only ran to stifle any change to jump bridges or logistics. Large alliances can swing enough voters to beat unaffiliated candidates, when they have a reason to.

So I think we are going to be in for a very ineffective year indeed.
