Player-created Telara Saga adds official trailer and website

Did you attend last week's Telara Saga kickoff event in RIFT? If you enjoyed it, you'll be happy to hear that the Gaiscioch Family is continuing the eight-month event in style.

The group has launched the official Telara Saga site complete with a full calendar, stats on completed battles, and information on the host guild. The events take place on the Faeblight server for Guardian players, and the next one is tonight at 9:00 p.m. EDT.

The website isn't the only thing the Telara Saga team has been working on -- there is also a three-minute trailer that serves as part guide, part eye candy. Check it out after the jump, and we'll see you tonight in RIFT!

This trailer is better and more exciting than most trailers put out by game studios.

The difference between a good community and a bad one? People like this, who get up and do something with the playground they've been provided. Rock on.

@Beau Hindman Well said, and fully agree. This trailer, by itself, has me more interested in playing the game than any of the advertisements I've seen.

Bleah, the thing about trailers like this is they have little to nothing to do about how the game or event actually PLAYS. This is 33% riding on horseback, 33% spinning around the map, and 33% watching rifts spawn. Show the actual event happening.

It was the same with EVE and the Butterfly Effect trailer, it's great as a story, but you go in and play the game and it's nothing like the trailer as it happens.

Fraps an actual PvP or PvE event, and set the camera angles for that and you might convince me.

@Dblade Working on it. Need a few events worth of video before I can put together the mid season video. Don't worry mate I love making videos and will have you some footage soon. I can tell you I'm having a blast in open world PvP and in the PvE side of the game. I love this game :).

Dear god, I think I'm in love with this game.

Question: I can see where the event takes place, but since I might be a little late tonight, does it start in a certain area and "move"...if so, where do we meet?

@Beau Hindman It will be throughout Silverwood until 9PM PST tonight. Keep an eye on Region (/1) chat. We will be promoting the Warlords all night.
