The SWTOR trailer was a let down compared to the ones they have released in the past. Still, I look forward to the game. GW2 is starting to catch my eye a lot more. I never got into GW so I might be a convert when GW2 comes out.

Not sure why I don't like GW2. Might be the BS manapunk setting. It might also be annie mitsoda's involvement. She bugs me for some reason. I can't tell why I don't give a damn and its bothering me. I'm perplexed. I get the feeling that they're trying to direct emergent gameplay and I'm suspicious. I don't want to blame them for trying but something seems off. It makes me think I'm living in the matrix after I know what it is. There's something impure about it and it stinks. :(

The "hype" over SWTOR is made by its fans. If the game looked like it was going to be pure garbage there would be no "hype". I'm excited about BW making a MMO, a Stars Wars MMO at that. So ... hypehypehypehypehypehypeOMGitwillthegreatestgameeverhypehypehypehypehype...
Whatever its the same 'ol story its the same reason people hate WoW. WoW is the hot rich kid everyone loves to hate. Haters gotta hate.

@uberman3000 It's true. I feel like there's about as many articles on Massively about the "hype" that SW:ToR generates as there are ones about the actual game.

I guess Massively has to keep the SW:ToR fans interested somehow but it comes off looking a little more negative than it should, IMHO.

@luckyspades I get the vibe that some people think its BW forcing the hype down our throats and its not true. If the their community wasn't as big as it is (and the game hasn't even shipped) then why would they bother putting any trailers or any information out for us to see? Another pet peeve of mine is when someone says something like "There is just a trickle of information, why don't they show more in game footage and the graphics look old?". Honestly if you look on there page and just look there is quite a bit. Just because you didn't see it on G4 or IGN doesn't mean theres nothing to see. Now about the graphics. Lets see if you want to make a game that you want millions of people to play would you make the graphics so high end that only a few hundred thousand can play? Look at WoW that is no achievement in graphical power yet 11+million people still love it. Anyway now I'm rambling and sound like a troll with nerd rage problems, I'll get back under my bridge...

I'm a big KotOR fan, so I'm loving everything I've seen so far. I feel like I've been waiting for SWTOR my whole life, lol.

The SWTOR dev walkthrough video posted in the official site the saturday said more about the current state of the game than the "meh" trailer, I cant undersant why Massively dont posted that video yet.

The animations and graphics now are on par with any modern MMO.
