Eh, not too keen on the video, but the game should be interesting to check out.

If I can fly I might be interested. Otherwise it seems like an updated version of Day of Defeat with MMO slapped on the end of the title.

@Ayenn

If they give me Day of Defeat with Quests (clearing out a sniper's nest, helping townsfolk get through a roadblock, etc.) and I progress through levels and difficulty of enemies then I'm in!!!

Honestly, I'll be thrilled if that's what this is!

Some very interesting concepts. Let's hope they deliver on them and they aren't just cheap novelties stuck in the current FTP trappings.

@MMOaddict I like the slightly different twist on the concept too, and as long as the combat gameplay is solid I'd even put up with a few cheap novelties. The possibilities of different weapon combinations alone seems promising, where existing WWII tech is updated as it would be if the war never ended. From the screenshots and video it seems like they really kept much more of the old than the "new". Probably a smart design choice since it stays away from having a sci-fi shooter feel to it and more of a traditional WWII feel while still allowing for some fresh gunplay styles. It's more like "very slightly futuristic" with strong roots to the past.

I'll be really interested to see how the skill tree works to differentiate the classes, although they'll probably keep things pretty simple I would imagine.

You think they would have jets flying in the mmo since the Germans where developing them during that time.

Wow, that Nazi fella sure was awesome.
And why was the Soviet agent killing the Allies? Doesn't make sense.

This game was in beta/upcoming status under the name Karma: Operation Barborossa in IJJI's stable, doesnt seem to be there anymore I guess they sold it to joymax.I played the 1st beta phase then it never came back and unless Joymax has changed it "ALOT" then it is just another f2p lobby based shooter with small maps 1 team spawn on one side the other team on the opposite side nothing special.

Anyone looking for a persistent world WW2 MMO should just play World War 2 Online. Apart from the semi-dated graphics (that continually get updated), it's hard to imagine anyone doing it better.

I was sort of interested in this game until I read about it being lobby based fps style matches on small maps.

Not sure why people are dissing this as a lobby based game. If you had played it prior to Ijji dropping it, you wouldn't mind. I was perturbed that it wasn't mentioned as being hosted by Ijji, though.

I played during both of Ijji's closed betas, and is it hands down the best F2P MMOFPS of this nature I have ever played (and I've played many. Soldier Front, Operation 7, Crossfire, Combat Arms, War Rock, to name a few). The only one of these that I've stuck with is Crossfire and Soldier Front. Soldier Front was developed by the same company as Karma, Dragonfly, and so I view it as a spiritual successor of sorts to SF. Bias aside, it truly is a fantastic game of it's genre. Worth a try, and I know I'll be enjoying this once it's out, as Ijji's announcement of the drop saddened me greatly.

@ToxinReign because lobby based games are not MMOs. instancing is an anit-MMO feature.

sounds like another lame game that takes the worst aspects of modern FPS games and the worst aspects of online RPGs.... and combines them into one.
