Hopefully the mobile games are something interesting. Nexon should shift its focus on tighten the security on its games... I heard Dragon Nest is easy to hack like mabinogi and maple story :(

Nexon will always hold a place in my heart. I grew out of Maplestory a long time ago, but I'll maybe launch up Vindictus every now and then. I may not be their #1 fan, but I'm glad to see them doing well and looking to keep growing.

Also, good job on the completely random Lost reference near the beginning lol. That got a nice laugh out of me.

I'll always hate Nexon. They're th ones that started the entire "Fatigue System" deal. Dungeon Fighter Online, Vindictus, Dragon Nest, all of them have a fatigue system telling you how long you can EXP. I had so many parties in DFO break up because of effing fatigue. I saw Nexon ban a ton of innocent people because some were just too good at PvP, and some others had used a glitch to get high scores. Then there was the Maple Story money incident, where they took EVERYONE'S money.

I will never see Nexon as this mighty white pony riding force of good that some seem to see them as. They are not. They're an evil company selling you the right to EXP your character, and the creators of the system that would eventually find it's way into FF14. When and if they man up like Atlantica Online and remove their fatigue systems, I will gladly play their games, but not now.

But hey, by all means, they coime out incredibly profitable because no one will question their practices, just like the folks who pay to win in Perfect World games.

I can't take them seriously as a developer anymore, they've let MapleStory go to hell in a hand basket. DC hackers are the worst of it, though the usual slew of hackers are still out in force, they have no customer service to speak of, are in bed with hackers(all the top players are), and players have no developed anti-hacks because the company won't do anything.

Players have developed anti-hacking hacks to fight the hackers, this is where the game's at.

On top of that immense imbalance, cash shop domination to the point where no cash shop means slow, crappy progress and inferiority, and recycled content that dries up, forcing you to "grind" everything for many hours a day.

This game, in my opinion, is the epitome of what's wrong with Asia-based MMOs.

How much did Nexon pay you to write this?

I've always been a big Nexon fan and I'm more than happy with Maple Story as it's one of the best games in all of MMO history. My cousin Trevor loves Dungeon Fighter and I'm looking forward to playing Dragon Nest. I've been awaiting the arrival of Dragon Nest ever since it was shown at E3 and ComicCon last year and I feel as it it will soon become Nexon's next best offering next to Maple Story. Hopefully Nexon will bring Kart Rider PC back to the United States this year as well in light of Kart Rider Rush coming to the iPod Touch.

the archer being able to shoot while moving at full speed has me salivating. the first TRUE action shooter MMO? (Tera doesn't count to me, because standing still (to shoot) is the OPPOSITE of action).

or IS IT EVEN an MMO? Vindictus is totally not an MMO, and even WoW is not MMO in its dungeons and other areas.

how INSTANCED is it....is what i'm asking. hopefully its got next to no instancing.

i've been told and read from beta comments that Huxley is like Guild Wars. FAR from an MMO. just MMO in the cities. AND its far from release as far as anyone knows.

APB, true....... however its 1.5 months of life might count as "a first", but i assume Dragon's Nest will be released and STAY ALIVE starting fairly soon whereas APB's been gone and will remain gone for awhile.

@corpusc Huxley is already out, and no, Huxley is an MMO, and a FPS, it's an MMOFPS, it has not yet been ported outside of Korea.

No, Dragon's Nest will be another poorly supported content starved cash shop Asia-developed game with design principles older than Justin Bieber.
