"PvP has long been the red-headed stepchild of Turbine's Lord of the Rings Online."

Don't you mean the hunter class? ;)

Goddamn it, I saw this post and I was hoping to see something about a new zone or something genuinely meaningful, but all we're getting is more tweaks. Crazy thought: maybe people aren't participating in PvMP as much as they could be because there's no indication that it will be growing, as a part of the game? I mean, I love my spider, but it is a tough slog knowing that you will be doing the STAB shuffle for the rest of your Creep life.

@ScottishViking We're actually set to get a new Monster Play zone in the upcoming Isengard expansion.

pvmp is so disappointing, love my warg but it is really a dead end. I always wished there would be content, similar to Wow horde, level 1 through cap, but I don't think they'll ever do that. Too much work

@Wurm +1 for this. I've been saying so since before the F2P announcement. I think it would be a huge draw to allow F2Pers to Creep, in particular.

@ScottishViking Funny enough, Turbine has also been saying that we can expect to see the Moors opened up to free players sometime in the future :p (possibly when the expansion comes out).

Turbine is really getting lazy on these dev diaries, basically most are just patch notes these days.

And beyond that, the game as a whole is suffering from horrible lag problems.

see:

http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?382655-Latenchy-Lag-Spike-Issues-since-Sunday-s-server-outages

But hey, with their party at PAX and the anniversary of DDO Turbine is just too busy right now to fix it. I'm sure they'll get around to it eventually...

@DiscoJer Thanks for mentioning the post about lag spikes, I thought that was just me suffering from them.

A bigger issue on large servers like the one I am on is rollbacks. People are getting booted from the game and reappear anywhere from a few minutes to the better part of an hour behind where they left off. Seems to only happen in and near fights with 60 or more combatants.

The devs have asked for community help in figuring out what's at the root of the rollbacks but I don't expect anything to be done about it. It's sad, because the PvMP minigame is actually quite a lot of fun.
