Indeed, their forums are quite dead apart from anxious fans and the occasional post from Chris. I got this e-mail a couple days ago I think.

Pretty interesting stuff.

This is one of those games that I want to be good.... but I have this sick feeling in my gut that it's going to suck. In fact, logically speaking, I really don't see how it can't suck. It's certainly an uphill battle. The studio almost bankrupted and in my experience MMO's that come from a company that's nearly out of money either die, never make it off the ground, or hit the ground really really buggy and never see their true potential. =(

I honestly don't see how this is going to work out. It -sounds- cool but frankly, I'm not sure how that legal struggle they're having with Bethesda is going to work out.

Honestly, I'd rather them lose the rights to make the game and let somebody else make it. Screw Interplay. They basically went bankrupt in the past and shutdown a done of companies, and now they think they're "back in the game"?

Likely story. Get in line with the rest of the developers who think their MMO is worth a shit.

Everything about ths development of this seems to suggest its going to fall apart before it gets released. Hardly any new information on the game in years, now they have new information that could have been written in a day and Bethesda is trying to block them from messing up the IP they now own.

Interplay had their chance, they blew it when they went bankrupt abd canned the Black Isle team in my opinion. Time to let Bethesda handle it now guys I have no faith in Interplay to deliver a quality fallout experience.

I agree with the lack of faith others have in Interplay to bring much of anything to anything anymore. Having said that, Bethesda has proven themselves such bad stewards of the IP themselves that I would rather the game not be made than Bethesda putting a Fallout MMO on the market.

Between Interplay and Bethesda, I would have to go with Interplay simply because there is the slightest possibility that they could do something that didn't seem like a mishmesh of bits from the first two Fallout games jammed together awkwardly. Not to say that Bethesda cant make a good game, just that they should stick to Elder Scrolls reiterations.
