I will have to read it again, to be sure i understood everything :p
I'll also have to open champions wiki in another tab to check all powers references and acronyms, as i understand half of them :D

But, thanks, this will again be of certain help to understand the game.

Resurgence scales with CON (last time i checked) and regen with REC.
Oh, and Protection field has just been nerfed to +20% per Rank i think and last for 20 secs (which is enormous compared to MR's paultry 8 secs).

"Most of the heals in the game scale to PRE, except for...Resurgence"

Resurgence does scale with PRE as well as CON.

Also, your discussion over avoidance glossed over a detail. While the avoidance % on the character screen is a direct multiplicative reduction (i.e. 80% avoidance on the character screen means multiply incoming damage by 0.2 for a successful dodge), there are various tooltips that give an inverse additive bonus to avoidance, for example the swinging advantage and the dragon kick advantage.

I hope it's someone cool who is known for their community efforts, rather than a swell-headed pseudo-knowledgeable forumite like myself.

I have to say... I joined the game about a month ago and have been pvping a ton... and regen is fine for pvp. Only the most talented melees completely eat through me too fast to regenerate, and even then I'd still give myself about a 50-50 shot of killing them faster than they kill me.

I wouldn't advise regen for most tanks who pvp, but I think it's serviceable enough for most other character builds -- particularly when you consider every single defensive ability, heal or shield you add to your character is one less ability you'll have to take down the enemy. I've been in some epicly long BASH fights with single targets who had all sorts of defensives and, yeah, they were damn hard to kill... but I generally had the tools to take them down eventually, or if I wised up enough to just ignore them and hunt everyone else, I'd almost certainly kill at a faster rate than they did and have a better shot of winning.

So my one piece of advice for anyone just jumping into the game is to not go nuts over defensive abilities. There's very few penalties to dying in the game, and far more in winning. If you take things down faster than they can take you... that's the goal. That will certainly involve some defensive and healing abilities, just don't go nuts over them... if you have a Gold account and have the ability to pick and choose your powers, try to come up with builds that have synergy, offensively and defensively. That's the main thing IMO. Have a plan of attack and center the bulk of your powers over making it work, whether you're a tank, a damage dealer... or something else entirely.

PS: I think a guide that just listed each power, what it purportedly did, with some math to back it up... and then a summation of how effective it would be for different kind of characters, and what powers they stacked up with nicely would be helpful. I think it would be a little bit more readable, and allow people to scroll to the powers that they're most interested in. Otherwise, by the time most finish the article, there's a whole bunch of powers they've never heard of and they may just feel a little lost by the end of it. (That's not to say what you've written here isn't good -- I found it very interesting -- it's just that if I were just getting into the game, or deciding whether i was interested in it based on this article, it probably wouldn't have made as much sense to me. Heck, there were still some powers listed that I hadn't heard of before and didn't know what they did exactly, even after reading).
