There's a new MMORTS in the works from gamigo, and the upcoming Elements of War Online looks to give players the opportunity to take part in an invasion of the United States carried out by a coalition of Russian and European forces.
The game features eight-player (4 vs. 4) matches and requires a mixture of strategy, tactical prowess, and teamwork to control various sectors of a battle map set in the war-torn continental United States.
Player commanders choose and train their units to create the ultimate army, and can even make use of "experimental element weapons such as artificial tornados and storms [that] can make or
break a battle," according to a gamigo press release. Beta testing for Elements of War will kick off this quarter, and the game will feature 50 unique battle zones, 16 maps, two playable factions, 31 unit types per side, and destructible environments.

Wait wait wait.
Are you suggesting I can take an army full of lovable cockney and tyke (that's people from London and Yorkshire) squaddies and put down those rebellious colonists once and for all.
Zomg. Even if it's free-to-play *I am sold*.

I'm a little confused. How is 8 players on a map considered an MMO? Is Starcraft II considered an MMO also, since you can have the same amount of players on one map?

@Overcooked I play russian version of this game and I find it realy exciting
Also, speaking about only 8 players is a llittle bit incorrect. There is a big strategic map, containing all the US states. You're able to start buttle wherever you like or to join opened ones . Yes, officially the buttle is 4x4.
But you forgot, that 1 player = 1 army = 27 units.
Now let's count it. 27 units * 8 players = 216 units (tanks, aviation, infantry, BTRs...).
So it's a real MMO, isn't it?;)
