Not a date but me and the wife are getting "married" in Zentia. We couldn't resist! I guess that definitely counts as a date?

My wife and I met playing WoW. And even though we both played as female Blood Elves (hey, I'm a typical guy, so yes I play girl toons, lol) we actually had a public wedding in Thunder Bluff. I paid some lowbie Shammy to perform the ceremony, and we stood right there by that pool and had a pretty awesome WoW wedding. It was fantastic, there were probably 50 people around and everyone was dancing and kissing. I'd say it was worth the 50 gold I paid that shammy, lol.

Well that was cruel of you, and not hilarious at all. :(

Anywho, on topic, no, never dated anyone I've met in a game. Well, not out of character anyway, which is what I think you're asking. My characters have gone on dates-a-plenty, but I have never had any virtual flings. Admittedly though, I most likely would have had I started playing MMO's -before- I got married. What better prospective spouse to have than someone who shares a passion for your favorite hobby and won't be *****ing at you to get off the computer all the time?

Well i had a couple of romantic RPs, though it was awkward for me. Particularly that one time when the guy didn't know i was not a girl. I know that there is probably a place in hell with my name on it, but in my defense he never even asked me, he just assumed i was a girl because my character was female and i just kinda went with it.

No, not ever, dear god on earth, no!

If you do, I have to say I fear for your ability to interact with real people in society.

@Amblin ...I can't tell if you're serious or not. Either way, that was a dumb thing to say.

I grouped up with a female in Age of Conan. I accepted an invite to group and it turned out to be a gal! It was in the romantic setting of the Eiglophian Mountains. We rode horses up to the summit and entered the Cannibal Caves. I did my best to be dashing and brave, but really she was a strong and independent woman. We killed Cannibals together, a great first date!

If you mean the whole picnic on the hill, watching the sunset and puttering in and out of shops thing, no.

If you mean our usual dungeon romps full of monsters, him showing off by trying to take the boss by himself and usually succeeding, then starting up the drinking game and wandering back into another dungeon (and almost failing that one), then yes. He is a keeper.

Better than going out and wandering around cause there's nothing to actually *do* around here.

Nope, no kind of place to picnic. Six feet of snow, blowing cold. The wind made my eyes water and my beard icy. She was bundled up in fur with a quiver of arrows and a fine bow on her back. The cold air made her face blush, very attractive.

My husband and I dated in MMOs back when we were still, er, dating. His work took him out of time a lot so we got our quality time in slaughtering monsters together ;) The trust and teamwork we built while questing together has been good for us.

About seven or so years ago was the first time, in a silly random MMO....

it was actually kinda chick-flick lame...she was being annoyed by some random player. it was an older mmo and the guy kept KSing her mobs and killed her a couple of times. I stepped in and being a higher lvl than both, camped his corpse for about an hour.

While camping the guy, she was killing the mobs and we started chatting to pass the time. Kept in touch after that, we both had a good time talking and everything. A week or two after the corpse camping bit i gave her a quite valuable item, it was something like a diamond necklace or similar, can't remember. She really liked it...the gesture i mean.

Anyway after that we met up a few times, enjoyed the company socially and privately, it was all good. And a month after we met IRL i stopped playing that game and never heard from her ever again.

There was no date in game, but there was flirting, sometimes borderline harassment. it was quite fun and made the chat unreadable at times from all the " * " - thank you chat filter. Now, like all good things, we both have only nice memories...ofc, if she's still around and everything
