The fifth anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons Online is at the end of this month, and Turbine's got big plans for both the birthday celebration and the rest of 2011.
We at Massively took a tour of the upcoming content today, and along with information on pirates, treasure maps, and an old familiar area reopened, we heard an exciting piece of news. Turbine will be bringing DDO: Unlimited to the European audience in 2011, supporting French and German languages as well as English. Beta testing will begin in March.
Want more details on what's to come for DDO this month? Keep your eyes peeled for this Friday's Exploring Eberron, where you'll find a full rundown of the newest content addition!

Man, I'm so confused with the Turbine/COG/US/EU formula now. DDO and LoTRO are 2 of my 3 staple games, and between them I have to keep a printed-out Excel sheet listing all my accounts and login details, with notes on who administers what in which territory, which servers my chars are on... it's crazy! :D

I hope they'll give us the option to sheathe our weapons. The character creator is so misleading in that regard.

The devs have mention a number of times they have no current or future plans to have the characters be able sheathe their weapons. It was considered to time consuming when they made it for the character creator ,to have it be done in game.

Shame its taken so long for French and German players to get the free version. I'm sure quite a few who can speak english are already playing the US English version thats been free for about 6 months now. Codemasters already had French and German translations for the original monthly subscription DDO so its taken a long time to translate not much it seems.

Perfect. Now I can enjoy jejune toilet humour in three languages instead of one.
