Today's ArenaNet blog post continues Human Week for Guild Wars 2 -- a week-long look at the human race of Tyria. Guild Wars 2 writer John Ryan penned "Against the Wall" focusing on the race's history.
What made this entry special, however, were the six audio clips scattered throughout the post. Each facet of human history was supplemented with voice work to illustrate what we'll hear in Guild Wars 2, giving us over five minutes of audio as a little taste of what's to come during gameplay.
Check out the history and audio of the Guild Wars 2 human race, and watch for next Monday's Flameseeker Chronicles as we do a full analysis of Human Week.

Actual children doing the voices of children? VA work that doesn't sound like the boss' nephew and the lowest ranked secretary in the office pool got paid five bucks per NPC to voice them?
How much more of my money does ANet want? I was already going to give it to them.

I loved hearing the voice work, especially the one with the kids. How can you not love "Pew ,pew, pew. Lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt!".

good stuff.. it just further shows the scope of the game to think this much depth is being given to not one but 4 races. Now they just need to tell me when I can pre-order a collectors edition.

@Drunken Irish Sniper. I hear a lot of familiar Anime voice actors! That's good news since the only Anime I watch in English are the ones with exceptional voice acting.

I know I heard Yuri Lowenthal for sure, maybe Dave Wittenberg and possibly Crispin Freeman.
The voice actors we know for sure are on the GW2 wiki (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Category:Voice_actors) and include one of my favorites - Steve Blum. :3

nice to see arenanet trying to create an immersive ambiance thru sound. It's a new step and a innovative 1 imo

The kids are so cute. I could hug them for having gotten actual children to do the voices this time. The entire time I was listening to that kid I had to chase down in that mission in Factions, all I could hear in my head was this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dgSoYFz1U0&feature=related

Great voice work - sounds a lot better than the voice work in the original Guild Wars which I felt was a bit weak on numerous occasions (Rurik especially, but I wanted to strangle my own character for sounding like a complete jerk on numerous occasions).
