Only 3 other players and no Heatwave staff showed up for the event. (They called today a snow day in Austin, TX.)

Perhaps you should have featured today's Producer's Letter instead. It actually contains some fairly big departures from the status quo for this title.

um ..hmmm if this is a closed beta ..then wouldn't it only be people who are IN closed beta who even have access to the game to even do any of this? I'm confuzeled :| Couldn't they just send an email to all the CB testers ..i dunno i guess i'm wondering why anyone would care about this unless they were already in beta, and in that case - they should know about it already. Maybe i'm missing something. I guess it counts as MMO news ..sorta?

Yes, it is a closed beta, in that participants may not disclose their involvement or details of the game that are unannounced.

However, so far, everyone who applies gets in automatically. The testing format is about to change, though.
