It's one thing to only have USA servers, another thing to block anyone outside of the USA....

Unless you are only licensed to serve users in the USA/Canada. If that is the case, being shut down for breaking a contract would be even more fail, yes? :)

Plus, the way the game uses the players to host the battle instances, maybe it would cause more problems to allow connections from other countries. Not sure how that would play out, though.

Yes, i'm aware of the way the connection use your connection like a P2P network, so it is understandable that they don't want weak/slow connections breaking things.

That said, i can't imagine it is a licensing thing. Either they don't have the capacity to run it in europe or they can't find a partner to do so...that's about all i can think of...regardless it's still fail cakes for everyone outside the USA.

Pardon, but do you in the EU realize just how much lag everyone suffers in games like these because of your location? I mean really? I wish you had your own server yes, but look at it this way: We got Vindictus, you got Elsword, and both are fun but crapped out by fatigue meters/dungeon tokens.

No i don't realize because we can't play and nor is Nexxon very upfront about all this. Massively is not asking this question either and continues to report on little updates ignoring the big elephant in the room. So all i/we can do every month when the Vindictus article pops up is to complain about the regional restriction and hope someone goes and ask the right people why and WHEN and why it takes so long (is the game doing poorly maybe ? )

When Codemasters were delaying LOTRO F2P in europe like this, every week massively was on their case finding out these tihngs [why, when] .

I actually just started playing this recently to fill the gap in between rift betas. Its pretty fun but im starting to see where they get their money from in the boat token system. Kind of a nickel and dime way of getting money out of ya.

Im still new so im not sure if theres a way to get more tokens but 25 runs a week seems a little stingy.

Oh well it should last me till march, all that matters.

From what I understand, the tokens are refilled a few times a week (Monday, Thursday, Saturday, think), so you should be able to get in more than 25 runs a week.

Is there any information if Nexon is ever going to launch Vindictus and Mabagoni outside the US?

Mabinogi is already available in Europe. No one knows when Vindictus will be released in Europe.

I wish they would stop adding new zones and all this holiday fluff, and focus on adding the missing classes. Mage/Shield warrior/DW warrior is not really much of a selection. Just makes the game bland imo.

I played Vindictus for a couple of weeks.

The best thing about it was the under armour.

Sad, really...

On February 1st Nexon updated the patch for Vindictus bringing along the candies of recyled cash shop items and the usual. What they also brought was a mass banning of a LARGE chunk of the Vindictus community. Since the game is based off of Source, many exploiters came up with a console to exploit the console commands for this game. As most people know, the game works on a hosting system, therefor anyone that joins a boat is at the mercy of the connection of the host. Unfortunately they are also at the mercy of any hacks/exploits/etc that the host themselves may be running or have injected into the game itself rendering ALL party members "infected" by this hack therefor forcing them to unwillingly play a dark part in hacking. Unknowingly to MANY legit players in the community, people joined up on quests to go into instances only to find out that the host was hacking. Most of the people who are legit and do not agree to this type of lack of moral leave the hosts connection instantly to seek another boat of much more fruitful legit people to play with. Sadly...they are still infected. And it does not matter how long it had been (months/weeks/days) it has already condemed them. On the update, Nexon did a sweep and banned every player who was associated with this "console exploit". Sadly to say, most of the players (those who go to the forums and those who have no clue about the forums or just don't post there) that are legit were banned whereas the hackers/exploiters themselves were not banned, infact, posted in the thread about the bannings talking about how they did this on purpose and that they are not banned. How can Nexon do this? Although it is pretty typical actions and level of professionalism of Nexon to do something so careless; it still is completely unjustified in the community where most of the people banned were infact, completely unaware of what was happening and that they were going to be banned. The population in game as I've been told is compeltely diminished. One of the most popluar guilds which is also probably the biggest on East server lost a LOT of unsuspecting members, who of course were all legit. I myself am as well a casualty of this unjust banning. Nexon should have a much higher level of catching those who were guilty of running console and releasing those who were obliviously part of a sinister plan. This needs to be corrected. Just want you to know that Nexon is almost as bad as GPotato and to be very warry of how they run their games if you are unfamiliar with them and their past actions. And as a side note; the customer support is nothing more than a ticket system you wait months for nothing to be resolved.

@LucifersFlesh

Yet you continue to give them your money, and you continue to play their games. They slapped you in the face telling you that you can only dungeon run so much with a fatigue meter/token system. You ate it up. They overcharged you on items and ignored your tickets. You asked for more. You're more like an abused lover than a truly erked human being. If they're that terrible of a company, tell them to pack up their crummy, shifty operations and take the first boat back to Korea.

I'm sick of people telling us how terrible these people are yet continue to play and cling to their games and services. I realize some of the most fun games are on their website. I loved DFO. But I got tired of the sheer agony of losing good parties I was enjoying because of the fatigue meter, I got tired of the Gachapon machine, I got tired of the slow updates, and how terrible they were to their customers.

Hate them? Stop playing their games then. It's sad to say, but if you pay into it and play it, you're just adding one more to the pot of people they can toot are "concurrent users" so they can act like what they do makes them successful and a great company. Go with a good company like ArenaNet or Turbine and stick with 'em.

I never personally poured money into the game, and regardless of how completely corrupt and trashy a company is, the game still has it's allure. I would continue playing without being a part of the cash system IF I could but I was one of many of the innocent players slapped in the face for being a faithful player since CBT. But instead of being negative towards someone trying to get the information out there to those who aren't so aware, maybe you should take a pill and relax before typing up such a bitter essay towards me or anyone else. Thanks.
