Fans often ask developers, "How do you get started in the business?" If you want to know the answer, then maybe you should ask Brandon Miletta. Last night, the Star Wars: The Old Republic podcast TOROcast announced that Miletta was leaving the long-running show to go work for the very company he has been talking about in the show for the last two years: BioWare.
Miletta will join the crew working on SWTOR as a video editor. Speaking to TOROcast about special treatment over other podcasts, he said, "I will enjoy not being able to tell you guys anything [...] And I look forward to the day where I can listen to a TOROcast episode pick apart something I worked really hard on."
Brandon has been an essential part of both the TOROcast site and SWTOR community. Massively would like to congratulate Brandon on turning his dream into a reality, and we look forward to picking apart his work every chance we get. As TOROcast would say: That's it!

I really wish they would have gotten that fat kid from the youtube video doing the attack moves with the broom stick. That would have been epic.

Wow, everyone else who works on a TOR podcast must be thinking "why him and not me?" about now...
Best of luck in what is many people's dream job! :)

Leave your passion at home, do your job correctly and things will be fine. Welcome to real work.

On the topic of Darth Hater, their web designer (Who does all that in his free time, for free mind you) was also offered a job by BioWare. However most of the positions are contracts, and so he did not want to move down to Austin just to work for a year or so. So while working for BioWare would be great he will not be there long.

Orionark was offered a job? That's cool. But he must love DH more. :)

does anyone find it weird that they would hire some podcast guy to be a video editor? im not saying he cant edit video but is he really the best they can hire? where did he go to school? how big is his portfolio? will he be working on games or just editing website video? the article doesnt really say much.

Podcasting was obviously his hobby. Do you think Bioware just gives away jobs? I don't think so...he was qualified.

what do you base your answer on? assumptions? i asked simple questions and you didnt answer any of them. dont get upset that i questioned the sanctity of your wannabe boyfriend.
i went to their website and downloaded the lastest podcast to see what the big deal was. no video there. i spent a few minutes looking around on the website which pretty much consisted of regurgiated information from other websites. no videos there either. also, there was no biographies on any of the torocast members.
