Tera isn't grindy....at all. o.o It's actually quite a speedy progression system, more casual feeling.

@Minx This. Korean version of TERA isnt even close to as grindy as NA Aion was. KOR Retail opened up monday and people are 50 already. Counting the 2 week open beta (of which people were 38 three days after the servers opened....) thats too fast if anything.

@Somnicide No way in hell that's too fast. There are hundreds of ways to slow your own progress, but I want to get to the endgame without delay. No leveling is ever fast enough, once I've learned the basics.

@PaterFrog

Yes I'm playing in Korea =3

1-10 is only a couple hours, depending on how you go about it, probably can be done faster and definitely can be done slower if you choose to do everything

if you focus mostly on storyline quests its very fast, there are many more quests than you need to actually level
after level 20 there is more group content particularly for campaigns, the content is more challenging but the rewards are very high - its fast to progress with a group
i don't think its too fast since you can make it take longer or powerlevel

the content is very fun though, combat is very good and monster AI is very interesting and well done

@PaterFrog See, this is the problem with people. They complain about leveling being boring but then when a game actually has content, they forgo the content to rush to end game anyway. Seems stupid all around. Regardless, 3 days to 38 and then another 3-4 days to first level cap is waaaaaayyyyy too fast.

@Somnicide I think that the problem isn't the content. I think content doesn't feel like content until you finally unlocked your full potential (level cap).
Leveling is little more than work, better only because you get to play the hero. One among millions, anyway. Maximum level is where the stuff gets fun, when you have all the tools at your disposal.
On the other hand, good leveling content doesn't go by unappreciated either. Funny quests will be enjoyed the first time, if the world is beautiful, that's enough plus point. Nice and smooth animatios are always good and lots of quests with unexpectedly high XP rewards are real nice surprises.

Making it more palatable for a western audience...

AKA; removal of a confusing gender option for one of the races.

I hate the word westernization. All it means to me is we wont get the actual real game that looked cool in the first place before they changed it for idiot americans.

I want the original personally, with some translation. When you have to change game mechanics thats just silly to me.
You might as well just not translate it and make a new game.
