The end game is there but good luck with the pve raiding. Tab targetting with 20+ mobs is horrific when a sorcery healer needs someone to target for their aoe heal patch.

Tank taunting is broken and for anything remotely difficult is an absolute chore controllers tank better than tanks, heck some people get aggro for doing nothing and just standing there. The only reason some leagues have managed to raid is because mainly they bug bosses out in doors and other places something which in most other games you would get banned for.

The chat system is disgraceful and with it the social system this is an mmorpg "MASSIVELY" as in people. Which requires social interaction and chatting.

The levelling is a blast, the combat is a blast but so much is broken and sony seem to be silent on all the key issues. How can a live game have so many key issues wrong from a company steeped in mmorpg history.

Its not as if its hard to fix the rest of the game is solid. But sony must be /care in their office. They also do not respond to their community sony fix what they want to.

they had a friendly social interface towards the end of beta (supposedly) but it caused the game to crash on the Ps3 so it was either pull the interface or push back release for the Ps3. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't fixed in one of the first content updates.

um, no, the interface was the same... it is one of the most flawed of the issues plaguing the game currently. Will they fix it anytime soon? time will tell...

umm.. it's AoE healing. You don't need to target anyone. You need to pay attention more while playing.

Agree with the chat system, needs major work.

Tank taunting just needs a taunt upgrade which is easily fixable. It's not a broken mechanic, they just need to add more hate to the manuever. They also need to lower controller aggro because you can get hate in one move, and that's not major move either.

Sorry I forgot to add that if you are raiding and someone dc's of your group, its pot luck if they get back into your raid instance. Especially if a pugger has queued up and taken their spot inside your group/leagues instance. This is also a problem with hard alerts, you cannot reinvite your friends or lock the instance.

So what happens when this game fails to get as many subscribers as WoW and Smedley decides to give it the old NGE treatment?

SOE's highest selling game ever which includes the 1 million+ that came and went through EQ. Guessing hes ok with its market acceptance. I expect that number to fall, but thats normal today.

@Daelen No, DCUO is SOE's fastest selling title. Being out on two platforms at once probably helped there.

Week 2 sales had dropped off quite a bit, but good reviews might see these numbers increase.

What UnSub said. DCUO isn't the highest selling it's the fastest selling. Also consider that their last big MMO was sold in 2004, the markets changed a lot since then with MMO's having a high box sale and then having very little population a few months after. So it's not really surprising it's their fastest selling MMO since they haven't launched one is a very long time.

How about WAR and rift just to name two off the top of my head? And actually I played the first 4 years of wow, when it was actually a good game. Playing wsg back then was alot of fun. When alterac valley launch I grinded it for weeks on end for the unstoppable force. Back then, wsg and av were waaaay more fun than the three arenas in dcuo put together. Gear grinds are alright fun the pvp is actually fun (ex warhammer). I appreciate your blind accusations though

Those look like a lot of fun. I am having a blast with this game so far, my Alt-itis is going crazy though, as I am trying out the different power combinations, got 4 to lvl 10 so far (mental/martial arts;nature/staff;ice/dual-wield;sorcery/handblaster) and can't decide who's gonna be the one to go forward with, or if it's time to try out fire!

@(Unverified) Same here. It's an insanely fun game. People complain about lack of customisation, but it's a lot deeper than people give it credit for. With six main power sets, all with two "trees" to branch out in, weapon skill sets (at least 10 of them), iconic powers and even attack moves in the movement power trees, there are hardly any two heroes/villains alike. You can make some very interesting combinations, and even creating two characters with the same main powers can give you two very different playstyles simply by choosing different weapons and movement powers.

You seem to spend an unusual amount of time watching videos and commenting on threads about a game you profess to not liking.

They got my initial $60.00 I want them to make the game better... so I can get some enjoyment out of it. I am a huge fan of the idea of the DC game... I am just not a fan of what SOE did with it.
