Just hit level 30 this week... slowly realizing just how much endgame content there is here... Waaaaaaay more than I expected. This one is a keeper for me.

Well I would hope there is no end for this kind of game. Otherwise it would be a pretty dumb MMO.

@Colin

I think that comment was directed at Ps3 owners with the assumption that the entire player base probably doesn't play MMO's - just a guess.

my biggest complaint is actually a minor one. There is no day night cycle in game. Gotham is always night, Metropolis always day. It makes sense because Gotham wouldn't be right fighting in the day time, and same with Metropolis at night, buuuuutt I still would like to see a day/night cycle in the game.

Agree.
I understand why they made it the way it is.
It's not a major thing but I like Day/Night just the same. It adds a sort of polish to things.
Maybe they could add it to places that aren't Gotham/Metropolis when they do an update and add other places.

Out of all the gripes with the game that i've seen - I have to agree with this one. I really enjoy day and night cycles since it adds a level of immersion and weather is just another level upon that; there have been a few times I've found myself saying in a few other games - oh cool its raining or oh cool its snowing.

honestly i had a blast in dcuo untill i hit 30. the pvp arena is fun the first few times you do it but after that you realize its just a terrible gear grind. there are only 3 arenas. the legends pvp is cool but its just button mashing. ill have to put a little more effort into the alerts but it seems like everytime i queue up its with a group thats already started and people are pissed/bailing out, or no one stays together, or no one else actually joins. also, the arena queues have been messed up lately ... atleast on death and glory. just seems like everything is all about queueing and it rarely works right. i REALLY really enjoyed the game untill lvl30. since champions has gone f2p ive been playing it and having way more fun. ill stick around with dcuo untill the free month is over, hopefully something amazing happens but i just dont think it will

@wagonfactor Name another game with more "Arenas".

And you've obviously never played Vanilla-WoW's PvP....Otherwise you'd understand what a TRUE PvP Gear-Grind is....

@Faction 3 How about WAR and rift just to name two off the top of my head? And actually I played the first 4 years of wow, when it was actually a good game. Playing wsg back then was alot of fun. When alterac valley launched I grinded it for weeks on end for the unstoppable force. Back then, wsg and av were waaaay more fun than the three arenas in dcuo put together. Gear grinds are alright when the pvp is actually fun (ex warhammer). I appreciate your blind accusations though

and to anyone looking to check dcuo out, im on the fence about it. these have just been my experiences. the game was well worth the $50 because getting to level 30 is a blast. its the paying $15 a month for dcuo's "endgame" im just not sold on yet. especially with rift coming out in less than a month. and CO going f2p and all the other great mmos other there. im not trying to turn anyone away from giving this game a shot though

I recently hit 30 and dont know much about the "end game" at all in this one. Ive had very bad experiences with joining empty alerts tho. lol
Theres tons of bugs but when the game does work i have the most awesome fun time.

I love that you can re-do instances you did in the lower levels with a bit of added content and a harder mode, the "challenge" mode. Thats really cool since you dont really grind the instances as you level up, you do them once maybe twice and move on. They were a ton of fun so i dont mind doing them again in a more advanced mode, i dig it.

Im personally gonna "grind" my gear by default while just playin the game. I do notice quite a difference sometime when pvp'ing some same level players are insanely hard to fight against while others are push overs or even matches, im not sure if its gear or class or what but its neat. Anyways point was im not grinding my gear in the sense that you usually feel in an mmorpg, im simply gonna collect it while i kick some butt.

This game is great fun.

It will need content updates often i think, but if they come the game can only become the greatest of all time!!!! My opinion of course. haha

I feel the same way (Although I haven't gotten a character to level 30 yet since Beta ended...altitis and just generally helping folks out rather than leveling being the main reason)

I am REALLY looking forward to the, "monthly themed updates" RadarX said was the plan.

The game is going on week 3...so if they are doing their first monthly update I think we should be hearing about it in the next week or 2 at the most.

Well... so much for the Batcave being a -secret- location. I guess just anybody can wander in there now.

These sort of "end game raids" will only hold for so long. Eventually players will get bored with them and either roll up new characters or move to a different game.

For any non-Americans reading this, always remember that Sony charges a non-USA customer tax of up to 30% on everything you buy, even your subscription.

Been playing SOE MMOs since EQ, in Canada, never paid more than the $14.99USD on my VISA. EU has VAT, thats a EU thing not SOE.

@Hurbster Except my country (Australia) does not have any tax on overseas online purchases and the EU prices when I was talking to people in that part of the world are before VAT.

Sony are charging a tax of up to 30% for people not in the USA, not our countries, Sony.
