@Laguna Yeah, agreed, those are kind of large. Remind me of LotRO fonts lol, I haven't played that game since the first month it was released so idk how things are now. Or maybe I'm thinking of EQ fonts... anyway, I hope they get a little smaller so it's more character and less title.

@Averice

Those are the same fonts used in WAR, I believe. And yes, they are awful...

Waaait a second. These are CAPITAL cities? As in none larger in the entire game?

It takes 20 seconds to run from one side of Sanctum to the other. How can that be a capital city? I thought Sanctum was just the first town you saw in the game, after all the little camps that were quest hubs.

Capital City? Naaah. That's gotta be a typo.

Really? Can you please make a video of you running it in 20 seconds as I'm really curious to see how you'll do that.

The next zone up from silverwood - Gloamwood - has a much larger town. It's just not the capital. Like Australia, Sydney is the big city, but Canberra is the capital. Much smaller :)

Capital cities don't have to be any particular size. They just have to be designated primary by the current political authority. Usually they hold the seat of government, too.

As pointed out above, both of these are "exile" capitals and as such have presumably been chosen out of expediency.

As a player, I think they are just the right size. Very practical, but still big enough for me to get lost in several times before I got the hang of the layout.

i didn't say u couldn't enjoy, just saying that it's not pretty. Ok if i like wow and now need a change of title, but saying that it's a amazing graphic, sorry, that's a no-no.

Most companies are proud to make their games run is a very large scale of Pc configs,. I played aion on a notebook with integrated gpu fine, my notebook have 2 gpu's, one dedicated 1gb and one integrated 256, and i can run aion and tera in both, low aspecs on the integrated one, full on the dedicated, so, I bet that better graphics not always means less people playing your game.

You can like old style graphics, but please don't tell that it's good graphics.

Damn, Vindictus, aion, tera are nice. Even a bunch of f2p games are better on this point. If you like the gameplay fine. (still can't understand how a bad wow clone with runes of magic skill system and old combat mechanics can be good, but well, my opinion.)

Sorry but rift graphics seems worst than Forsaken world, and I'm not a fan of F2P games.

sorry but i said nothing against people liking this game, just pointed out outdated graphics, and seems fanboys don't like it. too bad for you.

And by the way, i'm typing from a cell phone. One that probably could run rift XD (sorry, i had to make this joke, of course i can't run rift. The game can't make 50 fps on a dedicated 1gb ddr5 gpu, go talk about memory leak... )

taken from rift's forum :

"Due to issue with anti-aliasing, I can’t promise that it will be available."

nothing to say after that.

@Warumono
We get it, you don't like this style of fantasy. Doesn't mean this style is better or worse than others.
And last beta, antialiasing was disabled, but could be enabled with a tweak in the config file. AA is the last thing they work on when doing these games. So its not finished for beta. They'll add it before release.

Oh, question about the professions. How many gathering/crafting professions can you have at once?

I love the games that let you do them all, like Aion, though even in Aion they have that whole master thing. Like Age of Camelot did, with the gathering anyway. I'm addicted to gathering resource nodes.

@Averice three in total, which means you can do a complete cycle in any crafting profession (no profession require more than two gathering profession's resource).

When I played in beta3 I got a chuckle out of Mitch the Un-Ascended Adventurer's little spiel - I like how Rift has an explanation for how players keep coming back from the dead - and how it sets players apart from NPCs.

That said, when an NPC outpost gets wiped out by planar entities, and later gets retaken by players, the NPCs just respawn, so I guess lots of NPCs are Ascended too :p
