Looks like SOE: DCUO were doing Maintenance work Sunday evening to increase server capacity. They introduced another PvP server as well if I am not mistaken.

Yep, less than a week in, and they're already increasing the capacity due to crashes because of too many players. AND they added a two new PvP servers, one for PC and one for PS3.

Plus, the game is just FUN!

I dumped CoH because of the grind and repetition. Is DCUO like CoH in where they repeat the same mission maps over and over? Are there TFs etc?

I like superhero stuff and CoH was a great game for a little while. Eventually you see it all and it is much sooner than you think for a 7 year old game.

Anyway, just wondering if DCUO has the same sad flaws of CoH.

No, there is no repetition during the "grind" to 30. In fact, you will never be grinding (or *should* never be grinding) the whole way through. The missions are not at all repetitive, and have excellent stories to accompany them--delivered through phenomenal voice work!

There aren't the multi-hour Task Forces of CoH, but there is still group content in the levelling path. Alerts open up every few levels. These are four man instances in places like Area 51 and Oolong Island meant to introduce players to the group mechanics slowly over the levelling period. At 30, you can run Hard Mode versions of these alerts for Tier 1 tokens (and Tier 2 tokens from the Daily Alert).

At 30, you'll be repeating content. Aside from the 4 and 8-man Raids, you'll also have six Solo instances, taken from the gems of the levelling path, and a dozen Duo instances. The latter are also from the levelling path, but are tuned for two players with added twists like minibosses and new boss attacks, as well as a puzzle or two.

That said, there are not nearly as many storylines in DCUO. What the game lacks in quantity, it more than makes up for in quality. Remember also, SoE promises monthly content updates and tri-monthly large content updates.
