I have been running the Tamarian tiger (mount) quests rank 3 mixing it with Shadows of Jade for my Sin. When I get the cool down period I go run a repeatable quests in Paiking. I also use my esteem tokens to turn in mark of acclaims and I have started to get faction gear. I wish they would add more quests into rank 3.

I'm not quite there yet, but this was helpful for me to read. I keep hearing about the faction grind, and wondering what I'll be getting myself into when I hit 80. I get overwhelmed at the complexity in AoC sometimes. I'm thinking I'll probably just pick one faction to start with also since that sounds doable.

I am level 4 with three different factions at the moment. Even after you are at the top level with these factions, you aren't anywhere close to even getting the gear. There are only two pieces of gear that you have to be level 4 with the faction to get (legs and arms) and that's it. You need the Godslayer tokens (6 man hard mode or Yag circuit) to buy the rest. Good luck grinding 1000 of those for the entire set not to mention the 100's of faction tokens AND 20 gold per piece. By the way, you get around 2 per godslayer instance finished. The other way to get the set is to run a Yag circuit over and over and over. I can't even find a reliable group to do this with. AOC is in a holding pattern for me at the moment. The grind is killing this part of the game. After around 200 hours in Khitai, I have 4 pieces of Scarlet Circle epics and the rest is raid epic. With that amount of time and effort, I should have two characters in full Khitai epics. It's just not worth it to me anymore.
