Up to six players may engage the Blood Lord, with the spoils allowing players to craft the Nightmare armor set. It will not be easily earned, however, as the Blood Lord unleashes a variety of devastating fire attacks coupled with aggressive claw swipes. He's also capable of vanishing in a cloud of smoke and moving about in the form of a bat swarm, as if the vampiric allusions weren't quite clear enough. Vindictus players above level 45 can take on the Blood Lord starting on January 19th, but until then they can survey the teaser trailer and the gallery for some idea of what they'll be facing.

If there's one thing Vindictus isn't lacking, it's blood, usually freshly harvested from the cavalcade of enemies players encounter. So it makes a certain amount of sense that the January 19th content update features the Blood Lord, who is intended as the newest high-level challenge for players to face off against. And while the update will include some new additions to the cash shop, it's a foregone conclusion that the Blood Lord is taking center stage in the new mission "Shadowed by Darkness."

Is this game still super aggressively region locked? I mean- to the point where most proxies I tried were banned.

I just dont get this games appeal. Maybe im missing something but considering it was one of the most hyped f2p MMOs of last year it was just a massive snoozefest for me.
Did i miss something? Does it get better at level XX? Someone please explain to me why this game got any hype at all.

Honestly, no idea. It's an instanced gender locked dungeon crawler beat'em'up with preset characters. It's stretches the term "MMO" and classifies as one only in the barest sense of the word because of a few hub areas. The only reason I see this getting press is because it's Nexon, and because tons of kids play it. Otherwise it's utterly shallow and really doesn't deserve attention.

Pfft why havent they released in it aus yet, bed enough we have to put up with DCUO 20 dollar AU only pricing which is terrible considering were at parity, and they haven't given us official servers to account for our extra costs

I've love to play it, sadly i live in Europe... Nexon hates us apparently.

Just started playing Vindictus this week. Feels more like old-skool Phantasy Star Online how its set up, just with lots interaction with the environment. Heaving boxes, tree stumps, and pieces of pillars around, and smashing enemies and bosses alike has its perks.
There are tons and tons of replaying each area to collect random and rather rare drops to craft items or complete quests, but at least you still get some XP, and gold for each run.
However once you proceed to the 2nd boat and beyond, you then have to pay to play each boat ride to the dungeons, and while its mostly free {50 silver coins issues every 3 days} and it takes 2-4 coins per dungeon run, based on how many times you've gone that day. Once you run out of silver, between those times you're limited to only playing the 1st boat or spend money buying platinum coins from the shop to continue playing.
Its a fun beat em up, although really shallow, and I doubt I'd ever pay any real money, so after I spend my 50 silver, I just break for a day or two until they refresh.

I only played for a little bit when it first came out - the combat and visuals were cool, but all in all it kind of felt like the town was a lobby and you just teleported (sailed) to different instances, went through a guided path killing things and then teleported back - it didn't really feel like a 'world' to me; more like it was a 3d waiting lobby for Counterstrike or something.
Has that changed at all? Did I not give it long enough?

On the website, it says that its a 6 player raid from lvl 41, if I'm not mistaken....why does it say lvl 45? I'm pretty sure that nexon won't be releasing another level cap this patch. Anyways, can't wait till its out. I want the Nightmare armor for my lann >:D
