Only one new zone? Is that shared between both sides?

@gildhur

Yes, only the tutorials and first two zones in the game are faction specific. From level 27 onwards both factions use the same zones.

I'm pretty sure the zones are opening according to the lvl cap increase. I want to know where I can go to get some Meds for my withdrawal symptoms for not being able to play until the 25th....I Love this game!!!!

Ugh, two weeks to wait for more Rift action. Game is looking great and plays well. Looking forward to the next beta session, really looking forward to retail head start release.

Lovely game sadly my computer pentium duo 2.8 , 3 gb ram and nvidea 9500 1gb really struggled with it on low settings in the last beta in pvp and rift events . Fine in the questing though which is ok but I really think to play the game and enjoy it I would have to buy a new PC . Given mine runs pretty much everything I want on it including Age of Conan between medium and high settings with tweaking I really cant justify buying one for another year or two . Especially after the new guitar and 16 track studio :P . If yours can handle it i think this is the best game in many a year and possibly since WoW . ( might even be a better game from what I've seen of it ) .

@tenfootgoatman

Im playing on High settings with good FPS with AMD X2 , 2gigs RAM and an 8600GT.

You have something turned up you shouldn't, maybe shadows or forcing AA?

Nope. Sorry. I played in the last beta, and it was either my internet connection or my graphics card, or my cpu, but whatever the symptom, I couldn't get gameplay to go higher than 10 fps on the lowest graphical settings.

I can play WoW, LotRO, STO, and GW on all the higest, DX11 settings, but this game my system just did not like, and I simply can't play a game that I'm constantly fighting with the graphic settings.

@Ocho Don't abandon all hope. This most recent beta was the first one that actually worked for me (40-50 fps). The one before it was 10 to 20 fps. They are still tinkering with optimization pretty heavily, but hopefully it'll run smoothly for you soon!

@Wild Colors
For Beta3:

ATI Radeon 4850 1680x1050 full screen, core 2 duo 3ghz, 4gb 1066mhz memory, asus P5Q motherboard, win7 ultimate x64.
With that rig, using minimal graphics settings + 4 x anisotropic filtering, projected textures, and trilinear filters enabled, I saw 60fps everywhere unless it was in the center of a major rift with more than 20 people on the screen. Lowest I saw was 35 fps.

And that's not a new machine or graphics card, by any means.

So what happened to all the Beta4 reviews of Warfronts? Haven't seen a single review yet.

@Ocho Considering it's your FPS, it wouldn't be your internet connection.

You need a beefy machine to play, if you don't have one, don't put it up to ultra.

Then again, my machine plays fine @ 1920x1200 w/ ultra settings.

i7 920, 6GB DDR3, ATi 5770 HD - not exactly cutting edge. If you're "fighting" with the settings it means you haven't actually sat there and worked out what's best for you. I read the same complaint from people in during the beta and all they did was complain, not actually take any of the advice being given by other players and myself.

@Ocho Rift clearly has some performance optimization to go through, people with all different types of setup's have been saying (on the beta forums) they have issues running the game.

I wouldn't call it a deal breaker though while the game is still in beta. I'm sure there's a bunch of people in any game saying they cant run it well, Rift is no worse than anything else.

@Ocho As I put in my earlier post I had exactly the same problem but I think though this is something that could be resolved . The problem for me is untill I see the next beta or maybe a free trial it is a deal breaker or at least untill I can get the game cheaply . It would be a waste of 35 pounds if the release its like the beta .DCU ran really well on my PC on full settings AoC on medium-high so something does'nt add up and hopefully these issues will be fixed .Again I urge anyone that can to play Rift inspite of the issues I had I think this the best mmo since WoW and possibly better .

Well thank you all for your responses. If I do get invited back to the next Beta, I will try it again as you suggested as it could be an issue in development. But as of right now... the best part of the game, the rifts, ended up just being an annoyance as my system slowed to an absolute crawl. @sortius, I'll admit that my system is far from "beefy", but its by far not a simple machine (Win 7 x64, AMD Quad-core 9600, 8GB memory, ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe mobo), and by "fighting" I mean constantly adjusting the settings to find the best level. The best level for me, though, turned out to be the lowest, with the low quality renderer turned on. This isn't acceptable to me, though, so I would set them back up to something respectable hoping it would change, and then just get worse until I turned them back. The graphics at that setting look worse than the original EQ. So, if I get another invite, I'll definitely give it another shot, but yeah, I'm hoping it changes. I can't really afford a complete overhaul of my system right now...

@JoolaPrime I concur. My machine, for instance is an older AM2 Athlon 64 X2 with only 2 gigs of RAM and a Nvidia 8600 GTS so I'm waaaay out of date for the gaming world, but I was still able to run Rift at medium settings and my FPS usually hung out around 30, so sure not stellar, but as was mentioned Trion is still tinkering with their optimization.

@Dumac
I'll play CO as well, but AFTER the Rift weekend.

Those things are a blast and the way I figure it, CO will still be F2P for me when they lock me out of Rift again.

Btw, I think they are smart how they are doing the betas. Most games saturate you with beta, letting you play all day, everyday for 2 or 3 weeks. Then people get all bored because they've played through all the content and don't wanna sub.

@real65rcncom Oh, id like some of that "saturation" since i don't plan on subscribing to it either way. I don't think its worth a single buck. But as long as its free and ive got nothing else to play...Plus i really cant support it if i say i want the genre to evolve and change.

The performance in the last beta was noticeably snappier, I had gfx set to Ultra, my pc is 3.5 years old, dual core 6600 @ 2.4Gig, 8800GTX, 4 Gig RAM, W7 64.

Was so awesome to be able to join 20+ other players at a rift and it be playable and look good.
