While I agree with most of your conclusions, a couple of things:

1) Don't forget we were also at CCP for three days' worth of meetings related to our stakeholder status, at which the subject of microtransactions was chewed on exhaustively.

2) Saying that the CSM is being heavily consulted about Incarna gameplay implies an ongoing activity and thus is a tad misleading...we have had opportunities at meetings in Iceland in June, October, and December to address that topic with CCP but outside of those meetings we have had almost no opportunity to discuss it and have not been engaged by the leaders for that project.

Lets be clear on why the Council was formed in the first place, and it wasnt this the seed of this statement...

"One of these is its Council of Stellar Management, an elected committee of nine players who play an active role in the development of the game, bringing player concerns and proposals for the future direction of the game directly to CCP at biannual summits in Iceland."

It was formed because CCP saw people leaving, the result of dev corruption and them being caught, not the first time they had been uncovered, but the last straw for many subbers. So CCP threw out the olive branch and stated they would become transparent and let a council watch what they were doing and have influence in the game.

How well has that worked out? Not at all, with CCP giving excuses and dismissing the wants and concerns of the puppet player council, i lovingly call the PPC.

What is it going to take to make the folks playing EVE realize they are second class citizens in CCP's world? CCP hasThree projects going on that we know of, just how much attention do you really think EVE will get? I will tell you, just enough to keep the 70ish thousand subs they have feeding them money for their projects.

Like any crying baby when it gets too loud you put a pacifier in its mouth and it shuts up for a little while, CCP knows exactly what its doing, to bad their subbers dont want to realize whats going on.
