I think it there were a few long 15 hour days for a number of consecutive weekends playing WoW. Thats when i noticed my cheap headset wasnt designed to sit comfortably on your ears for that length of time :P

@PaterFrog

Hmm... If only there was some unit of measure involving the number 24 and TIME... What would be even better is if the vast majority of the animal kingdom regulated its periods of wake and rest on this very same measure... Oh well I'm stumped.

Back in 1998, during a weekend, I played UO for 14 straight hours. Brief intervals to eat and go to the bathroom. Ahh, the good old days :D. Still nothing special compared to some stories you can read on the Net, I guess :P.

And, umm, yes, if there will be a game that grabs me like UO used to, I would do that again, but unfortunately I still have to play something that resemble the greatness that UO was back in the day.

@ThePeon25:

I'm sorry, surely you don't mean the same Ragnarok Online that had no quests or story of any nature, but simply relied on grinding mobs over and over and over, hour after mind-numbing hour.

Because that would just be silly.

When WOW first came out (my first mmo ever) and \I got pretty addicted to that, 18-hour gaming sessions were actually really regular, 2 or 3 a week actually, it was pretty pathetic, but that was before I had a job or girlfriend...I was just in university and university is pretty easy, as long as you write the exams and hand in your assignments, you can get away with never going to class

nowadays, with a full-time girlfriend and full-time job, I get WAY less gaming time, but on my one night a week that I get to game as late as I like, I tend to hit the 11-12 hour mark pretty much weekly

I would have to say it was within WoW's first year being open. 9 hours straight, is pretty much what it amounted to, but at that time I had no real responsibilities... I worked full time, but it was retail, so no set 9-5 hours, didn't have to get up in the morning, still living with my parents, etc. Now? Forget it. I'd be lucky to get 3 hours, let alone 9.

I got no idea, really, but considering my very bad physical and mental condition roughly two years ago I spent ALOT of my time gaming MMOs.
During that time I often spent weeks doing nothing but play - eat - sleep - play and eat again. Glad I got out of that. :D

I was a game shop/net cafe manager for 4 years. There were times there I would be working 12 to 14 hour days weeks at a time. Aside from the managerial indispensability typical of retail jobs I also had to play games. At that time DAoC was a local favorite and people came in to the store to lan DAoC. I can remember playing DAoC with/for customers 12 to 14 a day in week or 2 long stretches.

I'm lucky to still like MMORPGs, LOL

Pulled a 36 hour session with my then-boyfriend. I mean, there were naps so maybe it doesn't really count, but I mean like... Over the course of those 36 hours, I got maybe an hour or two of sleep. So I'm counting it. >:(
