Looking to pick up some MMORPGs on the cheap? You could go for one of the hundreds of free-to-play titles crowding the market, or if you're looking for something a bit more traditional, Direct2Drive's latest sale might interest you. From now through January 10th (at 10:00 a.m. PST to be exact), you'll enjoy 20% discounts on what D2D deems "top tier MMOs." When does this deal begin? I see regular prices on virtually every game, including the games you listed.

Wow... might be a good time to pick up the Guild Wars Bonus Mission Pack. It's going to be $8 USD during the sale.

Haven't played FFXI in years and to get it for $7 is worth it. COP was so boring back then but thankfully the lvl cap for them are gone.
Just hope the community isn't still full of iditots in valkrum dunes.

Depends on your tastes.
It's an excellent evolution of the EQ/WOW style of MMO with just enough different to have strong appeal to players who like this style of game and might be bored with their current MMO.
Personally I grew bored with that style of MMO a long time ago but I think the game has been cleverly designed to have broad appeal and can see it being incredibly successful.

Does D2D requires you to be online and connected to their service to play the games as Steam does? Can't find anything on their site clarifying this.

Awesome!!! I was very reluctant to use Steam because it requires an internet connection and a connection to it to play even offline games but since Direct2Drive doesn't requires that then I will start using them to purchase my games digitally. :)

@Gaugamela You may find some games require you to be online, but most of the single player offline games I've bought from Steam do not require you to be connected in order to play them. The Half-Life series doesn't force you to be online, neither do many of the non-Valve games.
I think I've bought about 30 games via Steam over the years, and I'm struggling to think of more than a couple of games that require you to be connected to the inter-web-thingy..
I think it's also fair to say that some games bought from brick & mortar stores (like walmart or gamestop) and games bought from other digital distribution services, like D2D, also require you to be online to play them - so it's not just a Steam thing.
(I often log out of Steam before launching games - games like Darkstar One, Half-Life 2, Grand Theft Auto IV, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Single Player))
