Hot on the heels of its year-end beta event, Trion has announced the dates for the next round of beta for RIFT. From Friday, January 7th, at 10 a.m. PST until Monday, January 10th, at 10 a.m. PST, players invited to beta can participate in the next event, which features PvP Warfronts. In addition, players can now explore content from levels 1-25, which means an extra five levels and more points to spend on the soul trees.
Players who participate in a Warfront are also eligible to win an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 video card. Visit the official RIFT website for details on the event as well as information on Warfronts.

Watch as all the nice, working PvE abilities get nerfed to the ground after this patch because of imbalances.
Still, at least I'll be able to unlock those other quests; beta battlegrounds really have no appeal whatsoever.

doubtful since there is a PvP soul for each class. So if any nerfting goes on it will be on the PvP souls.

Uzzah! Hope they open up a new zone as well. Finally had the chance to play the game this last Beta and really enjoyed it.
Lets see what bugs they fix for this Beta and if they can reasonably balance some classes.

With the cap at level 20 in Beta #3 I noticed there was some imbalance between classes in PvP. Hopefully, the extra talents will make up the difference. Really hope I get an invite for this next round of testing.

@Dril
I am not suggesting that they attempt to balance PvP for lvl 20's, i am just saying that because everyone is in their mid 20's that PvP is going to be imbalanced. I bet though, at level cap it will be really interesting with all the additional abilities.

Those 3 days beta events are the worst part of the game ...
Why the hell dont they open their CB servers 7/7???

They said why, they need around 30+ people to run the beta servers right now for their testing. All 30 people aren't there all night but they still need several people watching and fixing things. Beta is for their testing and having it 24/7 just means they have to spend more time and money (over night pay) making sure the unfinished game can run, rather than fixing bugs/adding content to the game.
Come OB they will probably have 24/7 servers, which OB is more for showing off the game than CB.

Only 3 days certainly focuses testing - I've been in beta tests that lasted a year with 24/7 testing and honestly people drift away and it's hard to get numbers of players needed to test raid events in particular. Rift events are such major things in Rift:PoT that it was good to have such focused amounts of people on at the same time willing to try these things out.
Also the Devs learn far more from having high loads of players around for a short time, than lower loads over an extended time - the shorter betas function as stress tests as well as beta tests.

Because everything is being tested on another server and those 3 days are only stress testing and tracking the few bugs which hassn't been detected.

By the way, anyone looking to get a Beta invite, go and sign up for the NVIDIA newsletter. I just received a BETA invite (which I will use), but the invite came from NVIDIA, not Trion. I'm sure the card giveaway has something to do with that...

@Ocho I was confused by that also. I got an invite from nVidia as well, and I wanted to confirm that it was a legitimate invite, and not just an invite to apply for the beta. Unfortunately, the Trion website is currently going through an extended maintenance.
