funny how I was just commenting in the "Perfect 10" entry about Turbine players needing to wake up about what their money COULD be buying them ...

@Fakeassname

Time limited cosmetic items? I don't get it. Are you saying this is a good deal or being sarcastic? $10 will get me a month of LOTRO VIP access, how is this a better value?

Love everything else about the game, but what's with this cash shop that only rents you cosmetic items and bag space for a limited time span?

They should really focus on getting this game to Europe instead -.-'

I doubt putting some cash shop items on sale has any impact on localizing the game for Europe.

"cosmetics" in Vindictus give stat boosts, that haircut gives +7% luck and it's not +7% to hit "luck." it's +7% to your gold/loot drop rate, they are pretty much the equivalent of boosters in other games with the added bonus of changing your appearance while you've got them.

I haven't got a clue what the "body tattoo" coupon is because the only body items in the cash shop are underwear (so that's what I'm assuming they are). if that's correct then you can add in a month of +200 defense and another +10% to your luck.

this package is comparable to one month of booster/Premium/VIP/whatever else the marketing guys come up with to call it, additionally you get 3 months of expanded storage and 10k in your pocket.

all for $9.90.

but that's just this one time package deal, if you were to buy the storage and both a haircut / set of undies for a month it would set you back $10.70 a month. pretty damned close to for the VIP treatment from LoTRo, with the added bonus that at no time are you locked out of any content IF YOU SO CHOOSE to not to buy that stuff. no chat limitations, no quest line limitations, no class/character limitations, none of that bull shit.

I may not exactly like how nexon has got Vindictus set up (not a fan of boosters in any "fashion") but it's hands down a better deal than Turbines freemium crap.

Vindictus, Mabinogi, are f2p, and besides, the only things that the cash shops have are things that aren't 'necessary', like in other games. Even without the double exp pots, drop x2 charms, or attack boosters, you can level at a decent rate. I personally don't know why anyone would complain about nexons way of using the cash shop. Some people actually like the fashion choices. Although it would be nice if they could just make you pay to not be genderlocked on the characters, some people prefer having a choice(not me). Since theyre surviving on the cash shops, then that means majority has no problem anyway, right? I personally think it's much better than paying a monthly fee of 15$(or however much) for a p2p.
