I'd have to say after testing DCUO on the PC, i believe it will be alot more fun on the PS3... Just my two cents

I have played it both ways, and while PC will look better overall.. I think its so action oriented that its just a better fit on the PS3. Granted if you use a controller on the PC it should pretty much be the same, but overall I think it will draw more from console people than PC people.

I really do like the L2/R2 control and how you use the hotkeys with them vs how you have to spam click on the mouse. Game plays alot like Ultimate Alliance 2 in regards to controller use.

Ive beta'd for awhile now on the PC. Im going to get it on PC, the graphics are better and you can always get a usb controller for your comp. So unless its to play on PSN, i dont see the reason to get the PS3 version personally. Also, i dont own a PS3 lol.

Some of the longer combos probably are easier on your carpel tunnels using a gamepad. But DCUO has several shorter string combos, or simple holding combos that work fine for me on a mouse.

My first weapon(dual swords) had a nine-click long combo followed by a hold. Yea, my fingers hurt pretty bad after that first week. Switching to another weapon, and taking a break, helped a lot. Dual swords has the longest combo in the game. Most use 2-5 clicks.

Without a question I'm getting it for the pc if anything. Sure I'll give you it was more fun to play it on the ps3 at first. Though there's two reasons it was more fun which are playing with a controller, and it seemed like there were more people. Only reason it seemed like there were more people on the ps3 is because the beta for it was going on for a much shorter time and was also limited to only level 20 and the pc was level 30. The pc version was also going on for alot longer I know by the time the ps3 version came out I was already personally in the pc version for a full month. Going along with my theory and xbox seems to agree with me (fable 3 is a 2 month exclusive for xbox360 and going to pc dec 31st) most gamers who are really interested in a game will play it during the first month or two of release. Meaning alot more of the pc beta testers had already quit playing compared to the ps3.
DCUO has some major crash issues especially with the ps3. I do not believe the ps3 to be properly designed to run such a large open world mmo such as DCUO. Even on some of the most powerful pcs, while flying over the town you can see the buildings loading in the background. There's alot of power required to render those large seens such as the video card, random access memory, maybe hard drive load times, and the obvious CPU. Ps3 best piece of hardware and only one that is top notch is its CPU. I have a video card in a like 4-5 year old computer that is better then the ps3 video card. I'm pretty sure the ps3 has barely any ram whatsoever as well as I would get ram errors trying to watch youtube videos on my ps3. The hard drives in ps3 aren't performance hard drives either. The only part of the ps3 that you can potentially upgrade. I opened mine up one day to find a seagate hard drive. In my experience seagate hard drives have a very high failure rate and I hated dealing with their drivers.
In the end I can get about 100 frames on my pc in DCUO while the ps3 barely gets 30. Hell the last time I ran it my ps3 froze within the first 5 seconds. I know from watching others streaming the game freezing is a very common problem. You can find other users experiencing this problem on the forums easily as well. I'm very worried that the ps3 won't be able to get the game polished enough to meet my standards by the two week away launch. The pc has a far greater chance at being much more bug free. Not to say I didn't experience similar problems on the pc such as crashing and sound missing bugs. The controller was the main thing that made the ps3 version better and well you can always buy yourself a xbox controller for the pc or some other good controller. There's plenty of action games coming to pc to use them so it defiantly won't just be useful for the one game.

None. they build DC wrong and it feels too much like a console game.

So if I had to answer it i would go PS3.

Held by many who tested the game longer than 6 weeks.

Just use a gamepad (Xbox 360 one works perfect) on the PC and you have the best version.

I was going to be a pc purchaser, but I am still not sold on the current build. I have been a big supporter of the potential of the title since NDA was lifted, I really think it gives new diversity to an otherwise boring MMO market currently, but I can not believe they are going to ship in two weeks now.

I have really enjoyed the beta but to many systems feel held together with patchwork and do not feel solid enough for release. I still believe a spring release would do wonders for the title, another 3 or 4 months of solid genuine testing and patching.

That being said, I would still go PC over PS3. I can not see the general console player paying a monthly sub beyond their purchase price so I would assume the PC will be longer lived, and my PC specs make the game look amazing.

So PC, eventually. I will let the 'I have to be the first to hit max level' crowd get in and blow through the content and then come in a bit later after they have moved on to the next new game.

If I choose to buy this, it will be the PC version, for one simple reason: I don't own a PS3.

The game itself is gorgeous, with plenty of "gee whix" moments that make me want to see what the other story lines have. (Hey! I just rescued Zatanna!) but the interface is extremely clunky and un-intuitive and gets in the way of the game quite often.

@Hambone Hamlet

Why lifetime sub when it's just gonna go f2p before you get your monies worth?

@Averice not to mention, from what I hear you'll still have to buy points anyway to use the cash shop.

It might have to be PS3 for me, unless I buy a better graphics card.

PC, I don't care for controllers much anymore and it works perfectly fine on PC, if not better in my opinion. Just can't beat a mouse :) The only time I'd rather have a controller is in driving games, but even then, I'd use a wheel. And it doesn't feel at all like a "console" game in my opinion. I haven't felt restricted once like many crappy console ports I've played over my years.

Actually, God intended games to be played with joysticks, but we have forsaken him for gamepads, mice and keyboards.

Only Street Fighter gamers and hardcore old school arcade fans remain the most faithful to the joystick.

While I understand its still in beta with the current version running I will have to pass on the game. It is quite sad because the game has a lot of neat things going for it. The bad just kills the good though. Hopefully they will release a patch that alleviates all of my concerns before now and release.

None. Sorry.
Too action based, and I can't play it.
It is "my fault" that I can't technically control the game but it also says something about their spectrum of players.

Ohh well, RIFT sux on the quests/theme-park and DCUO is unplayable ... for me. Leaving RIFT as a sole candidate for PvP (which is a big IF, as no one can comment about it - nor will we see it on Tue this week). And then putting all of the rest of the 2011 options on GW2 and TOR. Darn.
