Guild Wars (though it is a tough choice).

The game has the polish and attention paid to it to more than match WoW or any other P2P in the market, and they totally did the "cataclysm" before Deathwing even had a sparkle of a thought for it. Searing screwed up a pretty big chunk of the world. Great art direction, friendly systems (sans obsidian armor), and its perfect as a main or side-dish game.

Guild Wars was my very first MMO and I've been playing it for over five years now. What I love about it is that to this day I can go back and play it any time I want, no strings attached. Guild Wars is my safety blanket MMO.

Guild Wars is definitely my favorite game.

I got hooked easy back when my boyfriend got it for his birthday. I stole it from him and couldn't "put it down" so to say. I honestly think the uniqueness is what really got me hooked. Most games today are just like every other game but Guild Wars stands out from the pack. I'm a huge pvp fan and I found it didn't take forever to get immersed in the pvp aspect. The races are unique as well. Orcs are cool but it gets a little old when you see them in every single game. Guild Wars (NCsoft) isn't afraid to try new things and seem to actually LISTEN to their customers input and what they are actually interested in seeing in games, not just what developers (although most seem to actually play the game which is awesome) or CEOs are interested in, at least it seems that way with Guild Wars 2.

Guild Wars!

It got me hooked because it was so much more than a constant grind like most MMOs. It has a great story, an almost RPGish feel, and none of the time wasting, grindy, monotonous feel of the genre in general. I've played since beta, and am still an avid player even today :)

Guild Wars is my favorite, I started playing 5 years ago, and haven't stopped since. Back when the community was really great, that's what kept me, everywhere I went I made friends, and I still have most of those friends today, who I continue to play with. :)

Guild Wars, no monthly fee and the skill based system has consistently surprised me with the power/inventiveness in using certain skill sets together.

Guild Wars! I wasn't interested in COH when it first went live, and I still feel like they killed Tabula Rasa to make room for Aion.

The beautiful enviroments mixed with the background music would have to make Aion my favourite. The game has alot to offer and the latest updates are an added bonus.

Dear Santa,
I love Aion and would like to get my hands on the expack! What other game can you fly around around without a mount? None that I know of! I'd say climbing as high as I could to harvest aether and then soar all the way down to the ground or the next node is what hooked me. That extra dimension to keep an eye out for enemies is fun too.

Will trade cookies for the xpack :)

Of these, Guild Wars is my game of choice for a couple of reasons. The first, and most important, is no monthly sub. If GW required a sub to play, I can almost assure you that I would not have tried it. Second, is the henchman/hero system. As a primarily solo player, it makes most of the game accesible to me.
