Nice!

Guild Wars is my fav game! My friend got me into this game. He played daily! I watched until I couldn't watch anymore. I was hooked the first week. The graphics, story line, game play...all of it. It is just fun :)

Been playing Guild Wars for around 3 years. I really enjoy the game play, but thats not what hooked me. I enjoy the guild/alliance enviroment. Not sure how other games do it, but I enjoy having an actual guild hall. Plus the chat enviroment amongst guild and alliance members. Plus the addons (costumes, masks, fireworks, and tonics) ad a little fun for in city enviroment. Also, with the new war in Kryta, adds to the game perfectly.

Guild Wars is my favorite game to play. It was my first "big scary monsters" game I ever played and what got me hooked was their Pre area. Having a nice happy land with smaller things to kill was a nice way for me to ease into the land of the MMO. The graphics in Pre are stunning, with beautiful golden leaves and grassy green hills, made even more gorgeous by the sounds of Jeremy Soule's soundtrack with flutes and strings. The GW community in Pre is very helpful and friendly. I was able to ask a lot of questions and have people offer to teach me how to kill things and such. I think without that area, I would have given up easily and let my account rot. But because GW made the beginning so amazingly welcoming to newcomers, I now have a fun game to play when I am supposed to be sleeping or doing homework. :)

AHHH Granny is confused. Enter by telling you where? If it's here, then count me in as a GuildWars Fan, :o)

TheGrannyGamer say: Shoot I can't edit my reply and forgot to add what hooked me. I started GuildWars because it was all my hubs and teen were talking about. Youngest wanted to join in and I had to create a "family friendly" guild for supervising her.

lol I remember how hard it was to navigate at first, now I can run a character, file my nails and twitter all at the same time - well maybe ^^

Guild Wars - A complex and engaging storyline, a myriad of optional lore information, an amazing community, a fun, interactive combat system, no monthly fee, and still getting updated.

My personal favorite is Guild Wars (and eventually Guild Wars 2) primarily for the integral part that I as the player have in the world's story, unlike some games in which you know there's a plot....only you can't mess with it until level 50.

Guild Wars definitely.

When I entered the realm of MMO's, I was bombarded with WoW. But, a friend of mine showed me Guild Wars, and I was blown away. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is phenomenal, and it really never gets old. I love that I can play hardcore for awhile, and then go a few months without playing, and when I come back, I can just pick it right back up. But what especially hooked me, is the lack of monthly fee. That makes it both affordable and logical for me to play.

The original Guild Wars hooked me into getting Factions and Nightfall. I loved the concept of making online friends allover the world.

absolutley Guild Wars. From the moment I picked up the game at launch, through 3 chapters, and now the nail biting wait for GW2 I have been a fan. No crappy subscription, and Lots of things to do keep me there, even after 5 years. The goregous environments, the comraderie, the events, and my close guildmates make for repeated forrays into the lands of Tyria. From now till eternity......Good Journeys.

NCSoft makes awesome games. I suppose I'll go with Aion, but GW still has a big place in my heart!

That's easy, Aion. I got hooked during the beta due to art style and combat combined with airial maneuvers.

Guild wars, mostly because it allowed me to leave and come back any time, at no cost to me, plus it is a great game.

Definitely Aion. Was the first real MMO that I had played. Only reason I stopped playing was because of the funds. Playing LOTRO now but I think Aion is even better than that. The combat is way more fast paced.

Guild Wars is my drug. I started playing way back before factions came out and I loved the fact that, while each MMO has their own economy and society, Guild Wars made me realize that all of the other MMORPGs had social sub groups. Guild Wars was a society. There were chance encounters, friendships, betrayals -- not to replace life by any means, but something that really shone with how real it was. What drew me in most was the camaraderie. There are always guilds and clans in MMOs but Guild Wars went a step further to make them real social sub groups, niches for the players. Guild Wars, to me, is a legacy that won't be easily matched - let alone topped.
