Sry for my bad english.

I saw the other day a video review of TOR in IGN.com i think...i dont remember if it was IGN exactly but

The game was awesome in content...

They showed some quests and i remembered a bit Age of Conan... a lot of nice chat with NPC with diferent answer options and cute scenes with full voices... it feels a lot like Singeplayer on that side

But they said that combat wasnt very good...it was more of the same...nothing new...

But i really want to try this game....i played a lot WoW in my life lol...and i only log in and do a few quest....im still 82 lol...

Actually im playing DC Universe...it's better and different from what i expected from it.

But it's fun

Can't wait more for TOR and Guild Wars 2 and TERA..

I like how in the first video they send a blind woman to find people.

@Drinkfist I believe they see with the force... not truly blind?

@Drinkfist She's a Miraluka, its a race choice. She can see through force, like that chick from KOTOR 2.

Well, I am also a doubter, but this is inline with my expectations. That is, I expected the on-rails storyline and am fine with it.

Looking forward to the game and great link to bad videogame acting! :D

This is another reason why I enjoy massively and their staff's writings. IGN has a 'review' up, if you can call it that, of the same starting content. Their article is about 5 paragraphs long. Hardly any meat to it at all. I find it tough to believe they had access for 5 hours after reading that.

Just for linking the Top 50 worst vid, I give you a +1d10 to cool points, that video has been in my favorites for years!

And its good to see the game so far is escaping the "WoW" clone label so far, and that it still has the classic Bioware feel to the game itself. Time will tell, when it hits a more open stage, and release, how well Bioware is going to handle its first MMO, and how well the MMO itself fairs in a market of mainly the same thing.

Thanks Bri, great writeup! Good to see it from a RPer's perspective.

I don't RP much in the MMO's I currently play but I do find myself lamenting the fact that someone put effort into writing the quests I'm clicking thru but that the style of gameplay tends to encourage that behaviour.

It will be nice to play something where you actually feel like you are participating in the story because the gameplay facilitates it so well.

I must say a much better read then the one at IGN. This gives me a far clearer picture of the game. And it doesn't sound like it was written by a drooling moron

There seems to be a number of people that seem to be adverse to the rails style of storytelling, but I think that's where the true strength of this game lies. I think MMO gamers that like to take their time and enjoy a good story and not rush to the so called "Endgame" this might be the game for them.

I look forward to playing this game along with the others that may be released in 2011, we have a lot to look forward to.

@Seldra

While I do like Free-Form, you really need a GM, even in-game, to oversee such things...such as people wanting to throw themselves off cliffs! ;)

I think people just have to come to terms with some on-the-rails RPing via in-game story arcs and treat it like one of those "Choose-your-own-story" books, which this is. It may not be "perfect", but I find that since I am expecting this kind of play, I am more at peace and accepting of it.

With such a Massive-Multi-Player game, logistically, you can only expect something like this: save the free-form for social areas and small MUDs and small online games with GM-oversight.

ARGGH! I knew I shouldn't read this and watch the videos...but I did. I was merely hungry for this game, but this has pushed me one step closer to starving for the game.
