@Xilmar

really, the ones who give a shit about lore are the uber nerds, the rest of us just enjoy the game and the storyline and thankfully Blizzard themselves stated that gameplay comes before lore... its a freaking game, its not like there rewriting world war 2 ffs!

@Xilmar

It's rather ironic that a guy with EVE icon would complain about lore.

@Xilmar They write the lore, so they can do what they want with it.

Boner.

don't get me wrong, i'd still play wow to this day if i'd be a fan of where the game has been going. i was || this close to shedding a tear when my mates told me they can do a heroic in under 5 minutes, with a good pug or something to that extent...their record was a bit over 3 mins. i don't agree with that at all, but that doesn't mean i don't still think it'll be one of the best games ever made.

that said, understand that some people might want more than one thing from their gaming life. and both wow and eve provided me with the entertainment i wanted, each in it's own way. (i used to do bgs and mission/mine with 2 eve accounts at the same time...because i loved both games so much). i don't play eve for the lore, even though they have some great fiction, which i would recommend to anyone into spaceships, just like i don't play warhammer for PVE, wurm online for the combat, NFS for the community. but wow, yeah...the lore was part of the reason why i played for about 4 years.

don't worry, the second eve makes a considerable "100% safe no matter what" zone, make the market NPC driven or dumb it down considerably (not to be confused with legit improvements), i'll be the first to cancel my account. and i'll be lurking the massively comments expressing my disappointment in the game's direction.

just saying that yes, i do play eve and yes, i'm sad to see the wow lore getting shredded a bit...ofc, in my opinion.

oh and Bongo123...i respect what you're saying...i know, i'm a nerd to you just like you're a low IQ 13 year old to me. and going on that presumption, the nerd would like to inform the kid that you're wrong...story does matter, quite a lot. that's one of the most important parts of ANY role playing game (RPG). just because you don't read those nasty old fashioned words, doesn't mean they're not important.

lore and gameplay should complement each other. the person who said that obviously cares a lot more about subscription money than making the best game possible.

firstly, i can guarantee that halo theory aka mikeb came up with isnt even possible. Microsoft retained the rights to all things halo as part of their seperation agreement when bungie left the studio.

ok, now that, that bit of nastyness is out of the way. lets talk about the rest of the leak. i dont think its legitimate. even if it was, blizzard is just the kind of developer that would kill several years in development if their investment is compromised. they did it how many times with ghost? there has been other projects as well.

if we've learned anything from blizzard, its that they arent afraid to drop something that wont work, and move to something else at even the smallest hint of them losing their chance to return investment in a really big and meaningful way.

Well folks we can finally put to bed the famous moniker "WOW KILLER", cause the actual wow killer codenamed Titan is coming out in 2015! all games prior are just filler

Well, release schedules are very fickle anyway and can change, but it seems like there's your "end" date for WoW... two more expansions, then their new MMO comes out. There might be more after that for WoW, but since they're splitting resources, they probably won't be putting a ton of effort into their then 10+ year old horse by then.

@Ocho And since we see no Diablo 4, Starcraft 3, or Warcraft 4 I guess those games are done too.

Too bad Blizzard is only going to make games for 4 more years. That Titan sounds cool, it sucks that they will never make an expansion for it since its not on this leaked production schedule...

Since we all know that most companies pan up to 50 years in advance...

It makes sense that a company would plan ahead but so much can happen in 1 year let alone 5 years it is never written in stone. I remember reading a "leak" years ago which was supposed to predict all expansions in the future (see here if you are interested in reading it, probably fake but has some spot on predictions: http://wow.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=21&mid=119012268058738816&howmany=50). I reckon at some point they will do a graphical update on the game in one of their next expansions, possibly the next tone, bringing it up to date with other more graphically advanced games and who knows that could breath new life into the game once again. Even if they proceed with their new MMO, if WoW is still popular and making them millions, of course they will continue to upgrade/support it with expansions.
