I need to get on his level of money making. Shoot, he probably could pay for my WoW subscription if he has money like that.

He should've been mugged when he left the complex. And what is just as bad is all the attention it seems to be garnering. Why not spend that 150k to rentout some internet cafe and let some poor kids get to experience some fun if he wanted to show off his favorite game

I suppose that's neat and all, but considering I already game on a 10 foot diagonal screen thanks to my HD video projector, I think I'll pass. Heck for 1500$ he could buy the projector I have and have money left over and game large every night, sure not quite *that* large but still...

He spent 15,000$ for 10 minutes, not 150k.

Still pretty ridiculous.

While it is ridiculous, it was done with money that man earned, fair and square. He has no obligation to give it away to the poor, or spend it in any other way than how he deemed too.
Thou art a weak species.

So, you're his banker? You can confirm it wasn't an inheritance or lottery winning?

Check out the site for the game... Apparently having playable pandas isn't as taboo in China as folks think. :)

This would be a great promo for any MMO. Blizzard could afford the rates and hold a contest where the winner gets to play WoW on this big public screen for a few hours! As it is this obscure MMO is getting some serious exposure for free.

Anyway, that is my take on the whole deal :)

Actually I'm wondering more what the screen usualy shows for them to charge someone $15k for 10 minutes to stop showing it.

Personaly I think its wasted money, bad gaming position, image repeated about 6 times so even if it is a single screen it didn't present a "giant" version and it was for 10 minutes....honestly If I was going to spend $15k in 10 minutes it wouldn't involve playing with myself.......

Oh wow it's at the Place!?
I've lived in the Fraser Suites right next to it in Beijing ^^
That LCD screen is pretty damn huge.
