Curious as to whether Aventurine listens to user feedback relating to its Darkfall MMORPG (and if so, what it does with said feedback)? We were too, and as such we found the most recent activity report to be an interesting read. Aventurine's Tasos Flambouras gives us a bit of insight into the creative process, outlining a developer meeting that saw a good bit of discussion regarding GUI suggestions, alignment considerations, and newbie experience feedback. "This is a topic of great importance for us and we might call it the newbie experience but changes in this should improve the general player experience as well," he writes.
Regarding alignment, Flambouras states that "we agree [with the playerbase] that as far as alignment goes, going red is too forgiving when it needs to be more of an active decision with implications for the player." He also touches on a potential auction house implementation, a significant crafting revamp, and quest and questing system enhancements. While none of these items is divulged in detail, the report is an interesting look at considerations currently on the table for Agon's near future.

AV have been improving everything about this game over the last few years.
With the launch of DF2010 sometime early in 2011 the game will be amazing. All th major complaints people have about this game are either fixed or have been identified to be fixed in the next expansion. Can't wait.

I followed and played Darkfall at launch. And I quit because I was tired of fighting the in game systems to do what I want. It sounds like they are keeping darkfall true to its roots but at the same time making non-core elements more WoW like. Brilliant in my opinion, people think they hate everything about WoW but they don't. WoW works and you dont have to wrestle with it.

I loved this game to death, I just didn't like the over time investment I personally needed to be where I wanted to be.
On Topic: I love that they are continually improving and adjusting this game, my complaint is I wished they would only announce things they have truly ready for implementing within a month or so. Waiting for ideas to be realized in game from this company is annoying. I understand they are small. And it's not that it takes so long. It's that they constantly mention new plans and changes far too early. It's a small complaint, I just think they should hold a few things closer to the chest at times.
